Series: Shaping the future

The First Presbyterian Church’s Justice and

Advocacy Committee is presenting a speaker

series, “Shaping the Future: Forum Exploring

Today’s Issues from a Moral Perspective.” The next

lecture in the series is on Wed Feb 12 at 7:30pm,

with Elaine Goodman, founder of the National

Alliance for Mental Illness NJ Law Enforcement

Training Program, “Mental Health and Gun Violence:

Exposing the Myth.” Future topics are Wed Mar 11,

“Immigration Policy: Who are Our Neighbors?” and

Wed Apr 22, “Earth Day: What Does it Mean to be

Stewards of the Earth?” All forums are held in the

Sanctuary, 20 Kings Hwy E, from 7:30 to 9pm.

ChildrenSong

marks 20 years

ChildrenSong of New

Jersey, the Haddonfieldbased

nonprofit choral

music education and

performance program,

is marking its 20th

anniversary this year

with “Flashback 2000,”

a fundraising and

celebratory dinner on

Fri Feb 21 from 6 to

9pm.

The event takes place

at Auletto’s Caterers,

1849 Cooper St, Deptford

Township.

Enjoy a dinner buffet,

a show, and a silent and

basket auction. Tickets

are $45 for adults, $40

for alumni, and $15

for children under 12,

and choristers. Buy

Barrington VFW Senior

Community Center, 109

Admission and

parking are free, and

refreshments will be

sold. A vendor table

with two chairs will

be available for a $20

donation. Set-up begins

at 7am.

Proceeds from the sale

of Kiwanis merchandise,

refreshments, and table

rentals will benefit the

Kiwanis Club’s charitable

work in the community.
