SELECTING AN S3000 SERIES SAFETY LASER SCANNER
To determine the 6-digit configured part number for the S3000 safety laser scanner required, follow the directions below and use the information
in the PART NUMBERING SYSTEM CHART below.
1. The first 3 digits for all safety laser scanners are S3S- (for standard), S3A- (for advanced), or S3P- (for professional).
2. The 4th and 5th digits determine the safety zone scanning range.
3. The 6th digit determines the cable length with plug.
4. A configuration cable is required for connection to a PC to enable configuration. See below for Part No S3L-CC6.

At least one configuration cable is required for connecting an S3000 safety laser scanner to a PC to enable configuration. One cable can be used
to configure one or more S3000 safety laser scanners.

TOWER LIGHT ASSEMBLIES
A tower light assembly is designed to be exceptionally bright with a long, visible indication range. This provides highly visible
operator and supervisor information as to equipment status. These assemblies are extremely rugged and are built to be used
in the toughest industrial environments. They are available in both 24V DC and 120V AC.
Each tower light assembly can be configured for up to five LED colors, or for up to four LED colors with an audible alarm.
Each tower light assembly has a black ABS housing with polycarbonate LEDs. A standoff pipe (choose between 6” [152
mm] or 12” [304 mm]) houses a 78-inch (2-meter) connection cable that is supplied with each assembly. These tower light
assemblies are completely self-contained, or can be used in conjunction with a control box (see next page). Each tower
assembly is pre-assembled with no field serviceable parts.

NUMBERING SYSTEM CHART below.

1. Determine the voltage of the tower light assemblies—24V DC or 120V AC.
2. Determine the color, function, and position of the lights (selected from bottom to top) and/or choose an alarm and tone. If an
alarm is selected, only four light positions may be chosen since the alarm will always occupy the top position.
3. Determine the standoff pipe extension length.

white solid light, and one yellow turning light (stacked from bottom to top). It also has a continuous tone alarm with a 12” (304 mm) pipe extension.
