Monthly Praise & Prayer Letter (July 2011)
The Ministry
Our Vision: To participate in the Great Commission by partnering with local churches and mission
organisations to evangelise and make disciples of all nations. (Mark 16:15)
Our Mission: We are committed to partnering with churches and Christian organisations in end-time harvest
evangelism and discipleship by providing ICM Bible School In A Briefcase (BSIB) materials, training
seminars and hands-on mission field experiences through short-term missions. (Matt 28:19)

We thank you for all your prayers and support rendered towards the ministry. Your prayers and support have
contributed much to all that have been carried out for the glory of God. We covet your continuous prayer

the mission field where helps are needed and the Gospel

The team comprised of 10 people from different
background – American, German, Nigerian,
Malaysian Indian and Malaysian Chinese. They
came as one body to minister the Orang Asli in
Mantin which is of the Temuan tribe.

This date marked the meaningful event when the
signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
took place in Miri, between Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB)
Sarawak, represented by Ps Peter Mutang and ICM,
represented by Bro Edwin and Ps Melai.
Later that day, ICM went to visit the future ICM
training centre (Miri) in Sarawak. It is still under
renovation because it was an abandoned guest house.
Bro Dorai and Ps Melai went to Sabah to meet
and follow up with the church planters and BSIB
instructors who go an extra mile to bring God’s
Word and the Gospel to the interior people of
Sabah, despite the rough terrain and long
journey.

A. Upcoming Bible School In A Briefcase (BSIB) & Short Term Mission (STM) Trips
1. [4-7 August 2011] Simpang Pulai, Perak, West Malaysia (Medical Mission - OA)
A team from Malaysian Fellowship Humanitarian Missions, consisting of medical students who are studying
in Russia, is coming for this trip. MF Humanitarian Missions is a non-profit organization that brings together
Malaysian medical students and doctors to various poverty-stricken areas all across Asia.
a. There are non-Christians among the students. Pray that God’s grace and love will be transpired to them
throughout this trip.
b. Pray that the medical camp and BSIB teaching sessions will go well.
2. [26 August - 4 September 2011] Nepal (BSIB Graduation)

a. Pray for journey mercy as Bro Edwin and Bro Dorai will be attending the first BSIB graduation on 28 th
August in Nepal. Pray for them as they meet the people there to share about the work of ICM and to
expand the local networking in Nepal.

3. [25 August - 4 September 2011] Sarawak, East Malaysia (BSIB)
a. Pray for Ps Melai as he travels to Bintulu (26 th – 28 th Aug), Balingian (28 th – 29 th Aug) and Lachau/Sri
Aman (30 th Aug – 4 th Sept) for BSIB teaching sessions.
b. Pray for more team members to join this trip.
4. [8-9 October 2011] Temerloh, Pahang, West Malaysia (STM - OA)
a. Praise the Lord for a team of about 30 members who responded to go, sow and reap the harvest as well
as strengthening the Church amongst the Orang Asli in Temerloh.
b. Pray that all will be enriched in spirit through this trip.
5. [30 October 2011] Kg Bukit Kemandol, Selangor, West Malaysia (Medical Mission - OA)
a. Pray that God’s love will shine through the Church by means of medical aid, caring, giving, preaching of
God’s Word and prayer.
b. Pray for more team members to join this trip.
B. Others
1. [1-4 August 2011] ICM Strategic Consultation 2011 (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia)
This is a meeting where ICM Inc Board Directors, National Directors and representatives of different
countries come together to evaluate the work of ICM in their respective countries, so that a more effective
strategy can be planned for the next few years.
a. Pray for journey mercy as the team travels from different places to Kota Kinabalu.
b. Pray for a refreshed and focused vision to be imparted to the team as well as a spirit of unity in fulfilling
God’s purpose for ICM.
2. SARAWAK, East Malaysia
Praise God for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between SIB Sarawak and ICM recently.
A training centre in Miri will be set up to train local pastors, evangelists, church planters and lay leaders
using ICM BSIB materials.
a. Pray for wisdom in the planning (setting up a committee of trainers etc).
b. Pray that God will provide for their needs financially and materially (for renovation, training and
learning aids such as computers, sponsorship for the trainees, as they will be sent out to villages and towns
after they finished their training).
