INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN MISSION (ICM) MALAYSIA
Monthly Praise & Prayer Letter (April 2011)
The Ministry
Our Vision: To participate in the Great Commission by partnering with local churches and mission
organisations to evangelise and make disciples of all nations. (Mark 16:15)
Our Mission: We are committed to partnering with churches and Christian organisations in end-time harvest
evangelism and discipleship by providing ICM Bible School In A Briefcase (BSIB) materials, training
seminars and hands-on mission field experiences through short-term missions. (Matt 28:19)
Dear Pastors/Prayer & Mission Partners/Friends,
We thank you for all your prayers and support rendered towards the ministry. Your prayers and support has
contributed much to all that have been carried out for the glory of God. We covet your continuous prayer
support for ICM.
It was an interesting trip for a group of nine
who travelled about six hours from Kuala
Lumpur to meet the Temiar people in the
vicinity of Gua Musang. Praise the Lord for His
leading and protection upon the team even
though some were facing resistance and some
feeling discomfort throughout the trip.
When we arrived at the first village, Kampung
Depak, the team ministered to approximately 30
children and 10 adults. Later in the evening,
dinner was prepared by the team for the
villagers with the help of the locals.
The next morning, the team set off for Gua
Musang Presbyterian Church to meet with the
Orang Asli youths who are studying in the town.
There were about 40 of them attended the
service. At the end of the service, the team
prayed for the students individually.
After lunch, the team headed to Teluk Untung
where the people there are banned from having
church services. Upon our arrival, some children
instinctively swept the floor of the church which
was once actively having meetings with over 80
children. Now, the church can hardly meet for
worship due to threat and pressure from the
authority.

On the way leaving Gua Musang, the
team paid a visit to Rossi’s family
who stay near to the main road. Many
mission teams from both local and
overseas visited and stayed at their
self-build house. Though many times
men from other faith persuaded
Rossi to leave Christianity, he chose
to stand firm on his belief.
“It was upsetting to see the church
building of Teluk Untung being
abandoned due to threat and
prohibition to use it by the
authority. We can no longer hear
praises in the sanctuary which was
meant for the people to worship God
freely.” Low Thean Fatt
Rossi and family also
face pressure from the
government concerning
entitlement of native land
in which he is staying
Before leaving, team prays and
gives words of encouragement to
the mothers and their children
“This was my first time to go
for missions. I was blessed
and felt sad at the same time
because of the persecution in
Gua Musang. We need to
bring this matter to others and
pray for the church so that the
church can be the light there.
Because of this trip, I can
understand Matthew 28:19
and it’s an encouragement to
me. Though I did not feel well
during the travelling, and I
had the thought of not coming
for any trip any longer
because of the rough ride. Yet,
I reached home safely. If there
is any opportunity, by God’s
grace, I can still go for
mission trips. Hallelujah.”
Lee Moi Chu
“This trip had some impact on all of us. We
thought that the Orang Aslis’ life has improved up
to this day, but our thought was proven wrong
when we were in Gua Musang.” Lim Kim Yu
