about the $7 billion, 20-year North <strong>Houston</strong> Highway Improvement<br />

project that <strong>Houston</strong>ians are buzzing about. Learn about TXDOT’s<br />

plans to untangle Downtown’s freeway system to ease traffic while<br />

working with Downtown and other communities impacted by the<br />

project. We hope to learn details about the project’s environmental<br />

and economic benefits, potential for open green space above the<br />

freeway, how the project will affect flooding, and its overall impact on<br />

stakeholders, including the commercial office building and property<br />

anticipated Building Automation Seminar at the building’s new<br />

classroom space, then take a tour of the Bank of America Tower to<br />

get a behind-the-scenes look at all of its automated features and<br />

other great amenities.<br />

The afternoon will begin with Building Automation Seminar:<br />

Building Management Systems & IoT. You’ll get insight from seasoned<br />

professionals about emerging technologies in building automation,<br />

how older buildings can utilize building automation and what’s next<br />

for the Internet of Things (IoT) in commercial real estate. Senior Property<br />

Manager of Bank of America Tower Kelly Wheeler (Transwestern)<br />

will be joined by Chief Engineer Jack Hollis (JLL) and Bob Thomas<br />

(T&D Engineers) on the panel to discuss their experiences in creating,<br />

implementing, and using these systems.<br />

In the evening, we’ll hold our Tour with <strong>BOMA</strong> Series: Bank of<br />

America Tower event. Property management staff will give attendees<br />

a behind-the-scenes look at the building and its long list of modern<br />

tenant amenities, including tenant lounge, conference center, 7,000<br />

sq. ft. of event space, Skypark elevated green park, and Understory<br />

culinary market. As tours continue throughout the evening, we’ll enjoy<br />

food and drinks and Q&A with our Bank of America Tower tour guides.<br />

Our tours are held in an “Open House” format, allowing attendees to<br />

stay as long or little as they please, with the last tour at 6:30 - 7:00 pm. n<br />
