Located in south western Uganda near Kasese,
with its great herds of elephants,buffaloes,kob,
waterbuck,hippos, lions,leopards,chimps,hynas
and topis.Queen Elizabeth National Park is one
of the premier safari parks in Africa. With landscape
varying from savannah,bushland,wetlands
to lush forests, the park is inhabited by 96
species of mammals, including the famous tree
climbing lions.
Besides the usual wildlife drives, the park is
well worth a visit for a boat ride along Kazinga
channel, a walk through the beautiful kyambura
gorge and spending some time both in the south
and north hemispheres as you cross the equator
and watch some of the 611 bird species the park
boasts of.
