VIRTUAL
FIELD TRIPS
Primary
Our primary 1 - 3 students had a virtual
field trip to San Diego Zoo, California,
USA on April 23. They learned about
living animals and their habitats. They
were able to visit and explore the zoos
while they actually learned from home!
The students were required to scavenger
hunt during their visit. They had to
watch one video,read some interesting
stories of baby animals, work on an arts
and crafts project prepared by the zoo
and play a game.
At the same time, Primary 4 to 6
students had an amazing virtual field
trip to the National Museum of Natural
History in Washington DC.
Secondary 1-2
Our Secondary 1 and 2 classes had a
virtual field trip to National Museums
Scotland, Edinburgh - United Kingdom
as part of SPB home based learning
program on April 23.
They visited and learned about Ancient
Egyptian and played Egyptian tomb
adventure games. They also had an
opportunity to see a collection of
Edinburgh Science Festival 2020 which
are categorized into five elements: Fire,
Earth, Aether, Air and Water. They walked
around and screenshot their favorite
exhibits while learning the important
details in their adventures.
Secondary 3-Junior College 1
Visiting Big Ben in London and the Great
Wall in China were our Secondary 3 up to
Junior College 1 virtual field trip.
They learned about the historical and
cultural significance of the Great Wall
and Big Ben and discovered how each
landmark has shaped and impacted its
country.
The students met with their groups
virtually as assigned by their class
teachers to review the specific
information about the landmark, while
also exploring the cultural and historical
facts of each landmark. The assignment
was to develop critical thinking skills.
