costume helps keep team spirit from flagging over the grueling 10 km race. Teams were made up of four or more people, and the minimum age was dropped to<br />
10 years, to encourage family entries. Linnmann and Peterson have put a lot of thought into this event. They are strongly family focused and even include a “mini<br />
grind” for kids at Lions Park. Many volunteer hours go into the Mountain Grind each year to set up and dismantle obstacles, and that strong “Harbour community<br />
spirit” is evident. Lions Park offers vendors, food, music, and a beer garden that opens at 10:00 am for spectators who need some fortification. The endorphins<br />
peak when muddy and scraped participants are awarded prizes (this year a “shower off” station was available) and then sit down to a well-deserved BBQ.<br />
