WEEDONS resident Simon
Moore has a fair point over
his frustration in the latest
Fulton Hogan quarry saga
development.
We reveal on page 1 today
the Canterbury District
Health Board will not get
involved in Fulton Hogan’s
appeal to change some of
the conditions on how it
must operate the Roydon
Quarry.
That challenge includes
how dust is monitored – a
health issue.
The CDHB made a
submission to the hearings
panel which granted resource
consent for the quarry. This
included how dust should be
monitored.
So why doesn’t the CDHB
get involved in contesting
that appeal as the Christchurch
City Council has?
As Moore says: “Do they
not care?”
Also, congratulations to
Jason Pietzner for clocking
up 300 division 1 games for
Lincoln (page 1).
