in community sports in Howard County for a Celebration of Sports at the Turf
Valley Resort (Turf Valley Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042). Enjoy the evening’s
events as we induct members into the Community Sports Hall of Fame,
honor GoodSports recipients and enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. Seating

Spooky Hayride

An ink black night will set the stage for a spooky hay ride through the eerie trails to
the ghostly dwelling deep in the woods. Awaiting are haunting tales of ghosts and
goblins and horror that will tingle the spine!

fall event for the whole family. Enjoy a magician performance, treats and games!

9K Around the Fairways at Timbers

This fun and unique 9k is a "can’t miss." Run the cart paths at Timbers at Troy Golf
Course. Recreation & Parks has partnered with Phil Lang for this race. A 15 minute
per mile pace is required. Breakfast served after the run. Awards go to the top male
and female runners. Preregistration ends at noon on Wednesday, November 2.
On-site registration begins at 7 AM. 9K begins at 8 AM. Race t-shirts are guaranteed

Kangaroo Kids Fall Jump Rope Event

You are invited to join the Kangaroo Kids for a day of fun and fitness. The Kangaroo
Kids precision jump rope team is offering a day of jump rope instruction in single
rope, double dutch and long rope at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. This
is a great time to learn new jump rope skills and to master your current skills. Jump
rope instruction is provided by experienced coaches and jumpers. This event is for
participants ages 6 and up. Children ages 6-9 must be accompanied by an adult. All
participants must wear athletic shoes. Jump ropes will be available for participants
to borrow during the workshop or they may purchase a rope at the event. Jump ropes
and related merchandise will be available for purchase during the day. Lunch may

Family Turkey Waddle

Win your family’s Thanksgiving turkey! Join us for a crisp early morning 1-mile
fun run turkey waddle. All waddlers that complete the fun walk/run will be
entered into a prize drawing for a gift card that can be used towards your family’s
Thanksgiving. Three winners will be chosen. Event will be held rain or shine.
