Come after school to work with CKCS! Cooking Club incorporates science, math and
kitchen safety into the preparation of new menus that are fun and delicious where
the focus is on dessert – including cake decorating! The classes are taught by the staff
of CKCS, which includes Nikki McGowan, co host of Child Life TV Cooking Show, and
special guests that include Rich Karoll, formerly of Ace of Cakes! Materials fee due at

to create unique characters. Study the art of drawing and have fun with lines, shapes

Learn the basics of photography. No matter what type of camera you have, bring
the camera and its manual to class. In between classes, have fun taking pictures to
practice what you have learned. In this interactive class, you will learn photography,
composition and exposure. There will also be an overview of getting photographs
off your camera, editing your work, backing it up and, of course, sharing! After the
fourth class, e-mail your favorites to the instructor. In the last class, there will be a
slideshow of the favorites and it will be posted on YouTube! Bring a reusable water

This beginning level dance class introduces basic barre exercises, leg, feet and
arm positions, and first forms of classic center work. The jazz portion includes
contemporary movement from a broad range of American dance styles such as
Broadway, lyrical and funk. Students who continue in the winter session are
eligible to participate in a performance in the spring (NOTE: The cost does not
include performance costume fees.) Girls wear pink ballet shoes, black leotard
and pink tights and black jazz shoes. Boys wear black ballet shoes, black dance
pants or sweat pants, a white t-shirt and black jazz shoes. Students may bring
a reusable water bottle. Teacher will be Kristin Lessans. (No class 9/28, 11/23.)
