other promotional activities Special projects for SMEs In order to enhance its portfolio of small and medium-sized clients in the segment of fleet sales, Petrol Ofisi has established agency agreements with TEB SME Club Card, OSO (Common Supplying Organization) and Otobroker in 2009. By promoting the Auto- Matic Fleet Management System to the customers of these organizations, the company has signed 3-year long fuel purchase agreements with 200 mediumsized firms. Moreover, a “telesales agency” was formed for the SME segment. The small and medium size firms with a monthly consumption below 10 thousand TL were contacted over telephone or the Internet, and agreements were made with 500 enterprises. As a result of the visits paid to organized industry areas to expand the SME portfolio, agreements were signed with 150 enterprises. Lojistik Card ANNUAl rePort ‘09 Analyzing the needs of the transportation system, Petrol Ofisi has developed the Lojistik Card to meet the needs of the sector. With Lojistik Card, big transportation firms can make some of their payments to subcontractors in the form of fuel from Petrol Ofisi stations. In this system, members of the firm can load credits to subcontractor’s Lojistik Card over the Internet using their user code and password, and can set limits to the fuel the subcontractor can purchase at Petrol Ofisi stations. Lojistik Card enables the transportation companies to manage their operational costs effectively. 39
40 Bank campaigns Petrol Ofisi sought to attract new customers and support its sales through various bank campaigns organized in 2009. Six different consumer campaigns have been realized with five different banks throughout the year. These campaigns were supported by the communication activities carried out through various channels, and the public was informed about the campaigns. In addition to the bank campaigns that provide various payment benefits, the “Üretici Card” programme, a first in the sector, was introduced by collaborating with Denizbank to provide over 200 thousand small and medium-scaled agricultural producers the opportunity of purchasing fuel with a 5-month term and a zero interest payment option. “İşletme Card,” which again was a first in the sector, was launched in the last months of 2009 to provide similar benefits for the fuel purchases of small and medium enterprises. Special promotions In 2009, Petrol Ofisi Fleet Sales developed several business partnerships with Sigortam.net and Ray Sigorta. Within this framework, the business partners provided their customers the opportunity of purchasing fuel at Petrol Ofisi stations by using the Fleet Sales’ Kontör Card. CRM activities In addition to direct marketing operations concerning product and campaign promotions, Petrol Ofisi also emphasizes CRM (Customer Relations Management) activities, which help the company to create special promotional campaigns and offers for different customer groups. During the year, segmentation activities were performed to classify the customers according to their demographic variables, income status, expectations and consumer behaviors, and tailored proposals were developed for different groups. The infrastructure operations that the CRM activities required were continued throughout the year to match corporate targets and strategies.
