Fujiwara worked as port captain for<br />
the shipping company’s Houston office<br />
for three years in the 1970s, then<br />
spent four years in Daiichi’s office in<br />
Wakayama, Japan.<br />
He recently completed a four-year<br />
sea assignment as master of a<br />
200,000-DWT bulk carrier vessel.<br />
Daiichi is a Tokyo-based carrier of<br />
steel products. The line is represented<br />
in Houston by Fritz Maritime Agencies.<br />
