Immunization Compliance

There are two immunization documentation requirements that all students - regardless

of credit load - must meet before registering for classes:

1. Measles, mumps, and rubella (required by New York State public health law and

University policy).

2. Meningitis vaccine or certification that you have declined to receive it.

3. *Influenza/"flu:" In light of the continuing pandemic and the coming flu season, flu

vaccines are mandatory for students who are on campus (living in Columbia

housing or off-campus) in the 2020-2021 academic year. Columbia Health will be

providing no-cost* flu vaccination opportunities at the start of fall term. Vaccines are

at no cost when provided by Columbia Health. Columbia will not reimburse students

that receive vaccines elsewhere.
