WHAT YOU WILL STUDY
The core modules consist of: providing person-centred
care, health and well-being, further science concepts
such as anatomy and physiology, health and safety, the
healthcare sector, infection prevention and managing
personal information.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE
THIS COURSE
• DBS clearance
• GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths, English. If you are
planning on a career in nursing/midwifery for
example, you will also require a grade 4 in Science
• ability to work independently and good time
management skills
• understanding of human physiology is desirable but
not essential
PROGRESSION
Studying the T-Level can lead to a number of careers.
You can progress onto university to study nursing,
midwifery, paramedical services, therapy, physiotherapy,
rehabilitation services, dentistry, healthy lifestyle
advisors and mental health.
PRIESTLEY EXTRA
You will have the opportunity to attend talks from visiting
experts and guest speakers covering topics such as
regulations and the cultural needs of patients. We host an
NHS careers day, enabling you to speak to various NHS
professionals about the careers paths and the different
specialisms that exist within the NHS. Visits to various
universities will take place to explore their health-related
degrees as well as a tour of their campus, taking part in
lectures and finding out other general information.

employers because of the analytical skills you
develop.

law, journalism and teaching.
3 Two course options: Early Modern History and
Modern History.
WHAT YOU WILL STUDY
Modern History (F): USA 1917-1996 presidents, civil rights,
and society. Establishment and fall of Apartheid in
South Africa. Impact of war in Britain from the
Napoleonic conflicts to the First World War.
or
Early Modern History (C): 17th century in Britain including
the turbulent reign of Charles I as well as the English
Civil War. French Revolution. The European witch-craze
1580-1750.
HOW YOU WILL BE ASSESSED
Year 1 (AS) – two exams
Year 2 (A-Level) – three exams and a 4,000-word essay.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE
THIS COURSE
• interest, curiosity and a genuine desire to study
the past
• willingness to work independently
• good literacy skills with a good pass in English
Language GCSE

teaching, politics, American studies, Philosophy. Diverse
range of careers including banks, law firms, local and

PRIESTLEY EXTRA
Visits to France and Belgium or Washington D.C. and
New York. Day trips to the Imperial War Museum and
Pendle Hill. Join the college History Society and help
produce our termly magazine. A range of history
masterclasses across the year.
