REASONS TO STUDY THIS COURSE

3 You wish to take your studies of Performing and

Producing further (you will study up to six additional

units over two years).

3 You are aiming for a specific career within the

Performing Arts, Music or Creative Industries.

3 You are looking for a full-time music course which fills

three timetable blocks.

WHAT YOU WILL STUDY

You will work with a tutor to choose a combination of

optional units which may include specialisms in:

Ensemble performance, solo performance, song writing,

composition, music for media, music theory, industry job

roles and music business organisations, self promotion

and networking, studio recording, mixing, mastering and

sound engineering.

HOW YOU WILL BE ASSESSED

Practical assessment of technical skills and sense of flair

in the three performance disciplines. Small amount of

written submissions. You are also assessed on other

essential skills for a performer including professionalism,

commitment and creativity.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE

THIS COURSE

• You must also study Music Performance and Music

Production at Priestley in order to take this course.

PROGRESSION

As this is a full-time Music qualification, you will gain an

in-depth knowledge of music. This course is ideal

preparation for further study at university, opening up a

wide range of music industry pathways.

WHAT YOU WILL STUDY

You will take challenging and fun technique classes in

acting, dancing and singing. Each discipline is first

explored separately. Following this you will combine

your skills and techniques in rehearsals preparing for a

series of performances.
