New members are very welcome to join us for the new<br />
autumn term. For more information and to take part,<br />

com. Weekly rehearsals from 7pm every Monday, via Zoom,<br />
practicing for our Christmas bonanza. We also include a<br />
weekly quiz in the interval for a bit of fun.<br />
GEM CONNECTION LADIES BARBERSHOP CHORUS - We<br />
are very proud to announce that Our Musical Arranger<br />
Heather Lane has been Nominated for the National Young<br />
Arranger Making Music Award and has successfully reached<br />
the final three. Heather used her skills to arrange a Calamity<br />
Jane package which the chorus performed in Spain 2019 at<br />
the International Spanish Barbershop Convention coming<br />
home with a Silver Medal. The final takes place in September<br />
with a Virtual Competition for the three finalists to which we<br />
have all been invited. Since Heather has been arranging her<br />
music, Gem’s Repertoire has grown and now contains many<br />
of her very popular songs.<br />
The Gem’s can’t wait to be able to sing together again but<br />
know it will be quite some time away. Till then we will be<br />
staying connected with our regular Zoom sessions.<br />
Looking Forward to be with you all again soon. We hope you<br />
have been able to stay safe.<br />
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE ROCK CHOIR - unfortunately we<br />
are still not allowed to run our choirs in person due to<br />
government guidelines. We are however running a virtual<br />
version of Rock Choir at the moment through Zoom and<br />
online tutorials new members can join anytime still all they<br />

WOODTHORPE SINGERS - ‘Are you thinking of joining a<br />
choir ?’ Then look no further. . .Woodthorpe Singers have<br />
introduced a new online engaging activity every Monday<br />
evening from 7pm. We are doing everything we can to<br />
ensure the safety and well-being of our members, choir<br />
leaders and staff. As we all know, isolation can impact our<br />
general mental health so we at Woodthorpe Singers are<br />
doing everything we can to continue to offer the singing<br />
experience to all our members and also the British public<br />
for the duration of this crisis. Our autumn term officially<br />
EASTWOOD COLLIERIES’ MALE VOICE CHOIR - like all<br />
other choirs, had to suspend its face-to-face activities in<br />
early March. This included all our centenary celebration<br />
events for the rest of <strong>2020</strong>, which is a real blow. However,<br />
we have a ‘roadmap’ – a plan which will suddenly spring<br />
to life as soon as we are confident we can start to meet<br />
together again so, hopefully, our celebrations will get back<br />
on track at some point. In the meantime, we have not been<br />
idle and, to check on our activities, you are invited to look for<br />
Eastwood Collieries’ Male Voice Choir on YouTube where you<br />
will find lots of great music and videos to hopefully keep you<br />
entertained – vintage album tracks, new album tracks and a<br />

MIRABILÉ VOCAL ENSEMBLE is looking for quality trained<br />
and/or experienced singers. Our standards are high but<br />
so are the rewards. We usually rehearse in West Bridgford,<br />
Nottingham, on Monday evenings, from 8-10.00pm<br />
(currently hopefully about to re-commence) . For enquiries<br />

SINGING FOR FUN SHERWOOD is online using Zoom for<br />
the moment.There is no requirement to read music and<br />
no experience necessary. We sing on Monday evenings<br />
