worldwide , our school , Mt. View
Elementary School have conducted a 2
– Day Webinar last June 29-30,2020 about
Helping Others Through Pyschological First Aid.
Our resource speaker was Ms. April M. Maderas ,
a registered guidance counselor. Our webinar was
very timely especially that we are experiencing
stress , anxiety brought by the Covid 19 pandemic
. It is important to take care of our selves for us to
overcome the stress brought by this pandemic
and also for us to help our loves ones to cope up
with the struggles of this pandemic or any kind of
disaster.
Our speaker thought a lot of things on how to
provide care, support and comfort to people who
are experiencing disaster-related stress that we
can also apply to ourselves. Helping others is

not only a good thing to do, it also makes
us happier and healthier too. It connects us
to others and creates a strong and happier
society. In this time of pandemic helping one
another is a big help in coping up with the
stress and also doing the things we love and
enjoying the little things we have.
