PA EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT
TAX CREDIT (EITC) PROGRAM
AT LEWISBURG AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT
Every gift The Green Dragon Foundation receives through the PA EITC program improves the Lewisburg Area School
District educational experience for our students. During the 2019-2020 school year, funding provided Linntown
students with “Little Bits” magnetic circuitry to teach children hands-on application of circuit construction and how
electricity works. At the Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School, funding helped to purchase LittleBits STEAM
Education Packs for 30 students. These helped to teach fundamentals of robotics, electricity and coding to all
children in 6th grade in an authentic and challenging way. At Lewisburg Area High School, students were able to
participate in the Model United Nations (Model UN) Club. Students attended an Ivy League Model UN Conference
in Philadelphia and engaged with other students from across the state to solve a host of real-life problems in a
simulated United Nations setting. Students were able to display their global thinking skills while gaining valuable
experience before college.“I am really proud of my students and what they have accomplished,” stated Mr. Dakota
Gessner, Club Advisor.
