What designers want<br />
Leather is not just leather. It can be found in<br />
thousands of varieties, colours, structures,<br />
thicknesses, specially developed to meet the<br />
demands of the designers.<br />
ECCO Leather uses personal inspiration and<br />
hands-on experiments to generate new and<br />
innovative leather types. A team of designers,<br />
leather buyers, product developers and sales<br />
and marketing specialists works together in<br />
ECCO’s <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Report</strong> <strong>2009</strong> / What designers want<br />
creative workshops to generate new concepts<br />
and designs for leather.<br />
Prior to the creative workshops, the<br />
participants are asked to think about what<br />
inspires them and to bring along objects and<br />
images to illustrate themes. To begin with,<br />
the participants present their themes in an<br />
informal “show and tell”. Then, ideas and<br />
themes are discussed and debated and finally<br />
everyone gets a chance to transform their<br />
ideas into real leathers.
