A Mermaid Pool Party is from 5:30-7<br />

p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29 at The Lodge<br />

Indoor Pool, 1050 Des Peres Road in Des<br />

Peres. Features a princess sing-a-long,<br />

mermaid photoshoot, diving for treasure<br />

and making a shell necklace. Participants<br />

may bring personal mermaid tails for<br />

party; additional guards will be scheduled.<br />

Bring a towel, goggles and mermaid tail.<br />

Face coverings required when not in the<br />

water. No equipment or supplies will be<br />

shared. Registration deadline is Tuesday,<br />

Jan. 19. Cost is $26 for members and<br />

residents; $30 for all others. Registration<br />

Sam’s Club members to schedule virtual<br />

visits with Santa. Each participant gets<br />

Parks Department. Manchester’s<br />

The Magic House’s Holiday Magic<br />

and the opportunity to visit with<br />

Santa in his sleigh. Event also includes<br />

a life-size Gingerbread Village, a Snowball<br />

Carnival, and Magical Nights light<br />

display and story time with Mrs. Claus.<br />

Magical Nights will take place from 5-8<br />

p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday<br />

evenings in December. Reservations<br />

are required for all visits; each visit with<br />

The Holiday Express Miniature Train<br />

ride on the C.P. Huntington Miniature Train,<br />

fit for all ages. Cost is $5 per person (in<br />

Jellystone Park, 5300 Fox Creek Road<br />

in Pacific. The drive-through holiday<br />

light display features animated scenes,<br />

special effects and millions of lights.<br />

Participants can view Santa safely from<br />

their vehicle, drop off letters, enjoy train<br />

and wagon rides, and visit Kringle’s<br />

General Store. Admission is $25 per<br />

vehicle. Admission for wagon and train<br />

Building Contest runs through Sunday, Feb.<br />

can build a custom snowman and enter it to<br />

The Christmas Experience: A Drive<br />

Through Light, Joy & Hope is from<br />

6:30-9:30 p.m. from Dec. 18-<strong>20</strong> at Pathfinder<br />

Church, 15800 Manchester Road<br />

in Ellisville. A drive-through Christmas<br />

experience featuring lights synchronized<br />

to music, Christmas-themes inflatables,<br />

carolers, a live expression of the nativity<br />

and more. The event is free and open to the<br />

Concert by the Bach Society is at 7 p.m.<br />

on Wednesday, Dec. 23. Hailed as one<br />

of the top <strong>20</strong> live Christmas events in<br />

North America by BBC Music Magazine,<br />

the event is an immersive virtual<br />

concert with the opportunity for community<br />

involvement. Admission is $15<br />

per device. Tickets are available with<br />

New Year’s Eve at Noon is from 11<br />

a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 at The<br />

Lodge Indoor Pool, 1050 Des Peres Road<br />

in Des Peres. Guests will participate in<br />

traditional New Year’s Eve festivities<br />

including a countdown to noon with a<br />

beach ball drop. Enjoy swimming in the<br />

wave pool, the indoor slide, music, dancing<br />

and a New Year’s Eve-themed backdrop<br />

for photos. Youth guests receive a<br />

beach ball. Preregistration is required by<br />

Dec. 27. Register early, event sells out.<br />

Event is free for The Lodge members; $8<br />
