Building Bridges/Cuentos Y Puentes

Building Bridges/Cuentos Y Puentes is our brand new, first-ever bilingual book! With stories in both English and Spanish, this book is the product of a collaboration between nine students in Toronto and nine students from Colombia. Facilitated by a partnership between Story Planet and the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, this project reminded us that stories truly do bring us together. Along with each story in two languages, this book includes 'postcards' in which the students filled out to send to their Cuentamigo (story pal) to get to know each other more!

Hollow gets in trouble for picking a fight
at school. She just lets him go to his
room while Willow gets her homework
done.
Chapter 3
The next day Willow goes to school
with Blossom and Hollow on the magic
bus. At school that day, she takes him
to class and warns him not to get in
another fight. She goes back to her class
and sees Darian sitting with Torian and
Xilena. They were happy to have her
back at school. They really missed her.
Willow tells them about the potions that
she mixed to get better. Darian asks her
for the potion recipe.
“Sure, you can have my recipe! One
part blue, one part purple. Wait for it to
turn green and then it’s good to drink. It
might not taste good,” says Willow.
Xilena isn’t sure about it and neither
is Torian. They don’t want to try it if it
doesn’t taste good. Darian takes the
recipe and asks Willow what happened
to her brother. Willow tells her that he
wasn’t behaving well and got into a
fight, so she had to take him home. They
all laughed at the story and were great
friends forever after that.
Hi Johana,
I love bunnies and dogs. I have a
stuffed animal dog and hope that
one day I can have a real dog.
I enjoy doing art inside and I ride
my scooter outside.
Love,
