The new facility was developed to ensure
Balmoral’s tank business had the capacity
to grow and add further product lines. The
current facility houses a bespoke fusion
bonded epoxy coating line, fully automated
loading equipment, in-line shot blasting
unit, steel forming equipment, the latest
punching and laser cutting technology and
stainless and black steel fabrication facilities,
catapulting Balmoral Tanks into the forefront
of the industry in terms of manufacturing
capability and establishing the company
as one of the leading global brands of
performance coated and sectional steel
bolted steel tanks.
Ahead of schedule, Balmoral Tanks has made
a further multi-million pound investment to
accommodate another coating application
line. This time, a hotly anticipated state-ofthe-art
glass enamelling plant.
As well as the physical plant installation,
Balmoral’s research and development team
has been busy configuring a new range of
glass enamel coatings designed to be used by
the water, wastewater and renewable energy
sectors. Further updates on the launch of
the GFS range will be released later in 2019.
In conjunction with the company’s tank
portfolio, Balmoral also designs and
manufactures a range of roof and ancillary
systems including pipework, and invests
a significant amount in its most important
asset - people. The company employs highly
experienced people in sales, design, research
and development and manufacturing to
ensure that it provides only the very best
products to the marketplace.
As a result of this ongoing investment
programme, business development is a
key part of the company’s strategy and has
provided a renewed focus on geographical
expansion and growth.
APAC SUCCESS
One priority has been to identify and appoint
new distributors around the world, including
Asia. In the last 18 months, the company
has appointed new distributors in Thailand
and the Philippines, building on its original
partnership for the Malaysian market which
has been established for over seven years.
Alex Harvey, Balmoral Tanks’ regional sales
director for the Asia Pacific market, said, “As
an established brand in the UK and Europe,
the Asian Pacific market is of increasing
importance to Balmoral Tanks. As we grow it
is important to develop the brand as we have
in markets closer to home.
“I joined Balmoral Tanks in 2017, dedicating
my time to the development of our distributor
network. Committed and strong distribution is
key to our success and is something Balmoral
Tanks has really embraced as we recognise
its importance.

Balmoral’s momentum has been rewarded
through the award of several exciting projects,
covering the anaerobic digester and palm oil
