Exhibition and Conference is
returning to Yangon for its sixth edition this
November. Serving as a strategic platform
for key stakeholders of the industry to
discuss and share ideas and solutions on
developing Myanmar’s water and wastewater
treatment systems, the Expo will feature a
comprehensive range of the latest products,
equipment and technology.
A mountainous and forest-clad nation with
plateaus, valleys and plains, Myanmar is
endowed with abundant water resources.
With the population increasing rapidly,
authorities and policy makers are pushing
for Myanmar’s urbanisation development,
aiming to bring the country on par with
neighbouring and regional cities. Dubbed
as “Asia’s Final Frontier”, the Government
has implemented several initiatives
to develop the water and wastewater
treatment industry. These initiatives include
installing smart sensors to monitor the
condition of pipelines and water meters, the
building of water treatment plants such as
the one being done in Pyigyidagun Township,
