Since its foundation in 1924 in Japan,
Tsurumi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has

Tsurumi’s residue drainage pumps suck and
drain shallow ponded and stagnant water. In
addition to being compact and lightweight,
which makes them readily portable, these
pumps run on a single-phase power supply,
so they are easy to handle in every way. They
can pump water down to one mm in depth
and some models come equipped with a
reverse-flow preventing mechanism and/
or suction attachment. These features are
used to drain shallow ponded water from
construction site floors, excavated pits,
water collection and feed tanks, and puddles.

AGAINST ZIKA VIRUS AND DENGUE
FEVER
Tsurumi’s residue drainage pumps are also
effective tools in the fight against Zika Virus
and Dengue Fever. These contagious diseases
are borne and spread by mosquitoes,
which lay their eggs in ponded water. So,
depriving mosquitoes of the places they
need to breed is a surefire way to prevent
contagion. Because these potential diseases
are prevalent in the tropics and subtropics,
many construction sites in Southeast Asia
are proactively using Tsurumi’s residue
drainage pumps to remove ponded water and
eliminate these health threats at the source.
