every moment since. I am so thankful for all the

THE ONE DAY AT NETJETS I WON’T FORGET
IS … a tie between the fi rst time I saw the
aurora borealis on a northern crossing, and the
fi rst time I saw the Southern Cross constellation
when I fl ew far south of the equator. Both are
magical sights that I will never forget.

MY FIRST EXPOSURE TO FLYING WAS …
when I was a young child and I was exposed
to the glamours of aviation by my mother, who
was a fl ight attendant for Pan Am. The stories
of her routes from New York to Paris were my
favorites to hear—maybe because they were
accompanied by gourmet chocolates, which she
always brought home for my brother and me.
THE BEST PART OF FLYING IS … the food.
This is hands-down my favorite part of fl ying. I
love exploring and fi nding local dishes in small,
off-the-beaten-path restaurants when I travel
through new towns.
BEFORE JOINING THE NETJETS TEAM,
I WAS … living in Georgia. I was working on
my master’s in art education when I fi rst learned
of NetJets. I have always had a desire to see
the world and thought it was great opportunity.
That was 15 years ago, and I have enjoyed
ONE THING OWNERS PROBABLY WOULDN’T
GUESS ABOUT ME IS … I consider myself
a science geek. I am completely enamored
of astrophysics, quantum physics, spacetime
theorems, and the like. Though I am not
offi cially educated on these matters, I can’t seem
to learn enough about them now. I love reading
about quarks, nebulae, relativity, and new
theories and concepts. Once, I was invited on
“Science Friday,” an NPR program, where I got
to ask questions about quantum physics.
ON MY DAYS OFF … I like to spend my time
in, or on, the water. I enjoy sailing, surfi ng,
wing surfi ng, paddle boarding, snorkeling, lap
swimming, windsurfi ng—anything that involves
saltwater or a pool, I am all for it.
WITHIN THE NEXT TEN YEARS, I WOULD
LIKE TO … sail to the South Pacifi c on my
boat and spend some time in Polynesia, island
hopping and studying the local culture.
MY BEST ADVICE FOR STAYING SANE
ACROSS TIME ZONES IS … eat when you’re
hungry and sleep when you’re tired. It doesn’t
matter if it is 2 a.m. or 4 p.m., have a midnight
snack or take an afternoon nap whenever or
wherever you like.
