MARGINS
my morning.
by Johnson Goodness Oluchi
“I lost a companion who was everything to me. It broke me and made me lose myself
daily even with this hurt I still try to come out all loving and caring hoping that one
day I'll find someone who'll breathe on me the breath of love. I wrote this poem with
my ex-lover in mind. But when writing I found out that it's not just for him alone but
to every other person who is broken, that each morning brings healing to their soul
for Joy cometh in the morning.”
I gasped for air
As i drowned in my emotions
The will to live was no more
I lost a companion
One who i shared my everyday with
We breathed same air
Each day without him
Was an illusion
I was lost in my self
I wanted a revival
A revival in man form
I needed someone
Who would breath on me anew
The breath of love
For where there’s love
There’s life
Every morning
Opportunities dawns anew
A new beginning for each heart
I hope my morning comes
With anew lover
