FEATURE Inside the new Retech factory We caught up with Steven Wang, the General Sales Manager at Retech Technology International Ltd (Retech) following their opening of a new 42,000m2 branch factory in Zhuhai, China. Wang describes this as the Dinglong Industrial Zone. ▲ Steven Wang, General Sales Manager, Retech So, who is Retech? Established in 2001 with a focus on producing new compatible printing consumables, especially monochrome. Now part of the Hubei Dinglong Group, Retech is celebrating 20 years in the imaging industry this year. Rapid rise Back in 2007 Retech was ranked No. 19 in the world in The Recyclers "First Fifty" cartridge manufacturers report. Fast forward to 2020 and the company is one of the top 10 suppliers to the in European market. New factory According to Wang, “the second factory is needed to meet the demand from their global customers who require product innovation and patent safe solutions and fast delivery. To achieve this level of manufacturing quality and efficiency required a substantial investment in a new and automated factory. Especially if Retech is passionate to deliver a 100% customer experience.” Today, Retech manufactures more than 1,000 different models of compatible inkjet and laser consumables from their Shenzhen and Zhuhai factories. The Zhuhai factory features new intelligent automatic machines producing toner and inkjet cartridges with a defect rate of less than 1% and a much lower labour cost. Global reach Operating in the Americas, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa, has seen sales of Retech consumables increase 40% sales during 2020, despite the weaker global economic outlook and supported with their new, Zhuhai based, enlarged manufacturing capacity. Part of the group As part of the Hubei Dinglong Group, Retech accesses PCR, Doctor blades, high quality toners, and chips that are all produced within the group are made to ISO9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Retech has STMC certification produces to CE specifications and is REACH and RoHS compliant. A constant focus on quality and cost-effectiveness is are the drivers underpinning Retech's growth strategy. The latest products released by Retech include the patented 950XL- 953XL series ink cartridge that was sourced and produced within the Dinglong Group.
