Once upon a time, in a small
and beautiful town, a family
bought a house with a big and
colorful garden in front of the
house. Austin was the youngest
member of that family and always
wanted to have a dog at
home, but unfortunately where they lived before was too
small and pets were not allowed; so, the little boy saw the opportunity
to have the dog of his dreams, and play with him,
walk with him in the streets and play in the park, his parents
considered his idea and told him they would get a dog when
they were fully settled in the new house.
The days passed quickly, and Austin and Johan his older
brother were coming back from a normal day at school, obviously
they had no idea of the surprise their parents had prepared
for them at home, the two boys opened the door and
went through the living room and their parents were there
earlier than usual, so Johan asked them - "Is something
wrong?"- And their parents just gave them a big smile and
said- We have something for you- so they took a normal box
with many holes in it from the kitchen and said -Look, guys!".
- They opened the box and inside they discovered a little eyebrowed
puppy, with very bright eyes, the kids were very
happy and took the dog out of the box, the rest of the day can
be summed up as an afternoon with the new dog. They both
wanted to carry, feed, walk and play with the dog, they even
wanted to sleep with him.

The new member of the family will be in charge of the two
boys, so their parents explained their responsibilities with the
dog, so Austin and Johan made a schedule of the things they
have to do with the dog. The next day the problems started,
pid as the boy decided to call him was causing some problems
inside the house, he was playing with everything and sometimes
destroying things, so his mother decided to talk to the
boys about training the dog to behave or she would take him
out of the house, the boys promised her that they would train
the dog and he would not have the same problems again. Because
of the great love for pid they worked very hard to see
the results and keep the dog with them anywhere, all their
work and time work because the dog was really obedient and
well trained.
For some years everything went very well for pid and his family,
sharing happiness especially during the afternoons when
the children came back from school. But gradually the family
acquired new interests and started to forget the dog. At some
point, pid tried his best to get their attention but they were
too busy and tired, to spend even a few minutes with him.
Due to the lack of time or interest in pid, the family decided
to tie him to a tree in their yard and buy him a doghouse, and
they only came to feed him. But the tree was next to the street
and children and people passing by could see pid and used to
talk to him because he seemed very happy, what nobody knew
was that he was happy only during the time they talked to him;
at night pid felt very sad and often cried remembering the
happy moments with his family.

One day a stray dog heard pid crying
and asked him -Are you ok? - and told
him his story, then the stray dog said -
That sounds horrible, how about you
come with me and we meet many
needy friends and faraway places...?
After the stray dog left, pid spent most
of the night thinking about what
would happen if he left his home, he thought about the two
possibilities, the first one being happy and meeting new people
like the children who pass by him and always talk and
laugh with him, he also thought that maybe there will be people
who will just forget about him and leave him alone as his
family did.
Thinking and thinking pid got very sleepy and felt sleepy, the
next morning Austin went to put food and water in pid's
house but pid was gone, and Austin thought that Johan had
taken pid for a walk, and went back to the house to continue
playing video games which were his favorite thing in the
world. What Austin and his family didn't know was that pid
had run away from home; after seeing the sunset in the distance
pid just said to himself- If the sun looks so beautiful
from here, there must be many beautiful things to discover
outside this little house where he spent many days-, so after
saying those words he bit the rope that tied him to the tree
and broke it, then he jumped over the fence and started to
run for the sun, but to his surprise, there were many cars and
people a few streets away from where he lived, confused and
very scared he decided to run a lot of the mountains to be
safe from all the cars.

Pid was discovering a lot of new things there, for the first time
in his life he found a natural water source and he was very
curious to know when it ended, so he started to follow the
ravine and during that time he met a lot of new animals he
had not seen before, he asked them their names and he also
asked for the house or the place where he could find the stray
dogs, but unfortunately, nobody in the mountains knew who
those dogs were or the place where to find them.
Finally, pid was distracted talking and playing with his new
friends in the forest, the night was starting to come and pid
didn't realize it, at that point he didn't know where he was, all
the animals were looking for a place to spend the night in the
mountains and not be hunted by a predator, but pid didn't
know about predators and was asking for a house for the dog,
but no one knew what it was, so a bird told him- I think the
dog doesn't live here, that's why we don't have that kind of
thing, but if you make a little hole in the leaves you will have
an amazing place to live. Now pid had a place to live, but only
a few minutes after he lay down amount of leaves many noises
started to sound all over the mountain making sleep too difficult
for pid and his friend had no place to spend the night,
so I was in the forest, the next day, he continued walking aimlessly,
suddenly they came to a small village people were so
strange, and walking through them, they did not see them.
They were very hungry they were looking for food, suddenly
a very dark voice sounded very close, it was a cat, with a scar
on his right eye, he looked scary and said
what are you doing here!!!!! His even bigger
friend replied Don't talk to him like that,
there is plenty of food for everyone here.

He said in a mocking voice; - I'm
sorry, but on the contrary, you, I don't
like garbage, I like only gourmet food,
you can eat the other dogs' food if
they want - and at the end of his dialogue,
pid threw him some food, but
while the cat was far away, he could
hear how the noise that people made
The biggest dog in the place, he taught pid how to get a human
meal, gave him a series of tips that assured him that he
would not starve to death
If you see a group of women, act nice for her to come with
food as they think she has to be nice to the animals, they also
look the same, the dog was very attentive to his friend's advice,
but he wanted to go home because there were his two
favorite humans.
He taught several strategies about which people are good with
animals and who to avoid.
In the evening they returned to the animals' place to sleep.
Where the other animals questioned that the biggest dog was
no longer protecting them, taking care only of pid, maybe he
felt close to him, because he felt their pain and understood
what he felt when he was abandoned, that night a big storm
fell, they looked for shelter in a place, unfortunately they did
not find a place where they could protect them from the rain,
A car was about to run over them because of the rain he could
not see well and almost crashed with them, but he was able to
stop in time, when the owner of the car noticed ped and his
friends, he called the kennel to report several animals together,
when the kennel manager received the call she took
pity on the animals, She waited for the rain to calm down a

little, she went with the truck to look for him but she only
found Pid, the big dog and the cat, all 3 were in attack mode
when she approached them, she looked for food and water in
their belongings and when they saw that she was not going to
hurt them they approached her but they were afraid of her,
When she was able to put them in the truck she took them to
the shelter, she put them in a cell each one, but the animals
began to scream and look for the company of the others, the
person in charge had no other solution but to put them all 3
in the same cell, she verified that they had food, water, blankets,
and that they were comfortable and left the shelter.
The next day the manager let out the 3 new animals, seeing
that they were not afraid or stressed by not recognizing where
they were, she took them out to the yard so that maybe seeing
more animals, they would see that it was not bad to be there,
pid and his friends went out to the yard and were surprised to
see so many animals, there were of all colors, sizes, different
breeds of dogs and cats.
The owner of the shelter, who they discovered was called
Sara, introduced them to their new friends, gave them different
toys and pid and his friends enjoyed the toys, they were
excited because when they were thinking about running away,
taking shelter, looking for food, they forgot how much fun it
was to play.
Sara made sure that they enjoyed playing
since she felt the pain of the animals,
and she did not want them to
feel that way, she would take care of
giving them all the love they lacked,
she was even happy to think about
finding a new home for them. The 3

of them, her let them play for a while, from there she took
each of them to the shower, I bathed them until she felt they
smelled good, and cut their nails, and cleaned their ears, pid
was happy that it was super clean, and that there was someone
who took care of them, he put costumes on the big dog, and
the cat and pid put a tie to make them look cute, he proceeded
to take some photos and when he asked he heard that he was
looking for a home, he felt sad because he liked how Sara
treated them and when he heard that he got sad, since he
heard that he was going to separate them, and asked he had
gotten used to his friends.
Pid felt sad by what he heard but said that he would not tell
his friends what he had discovered because he knew that they
could find a way to escape, and pid did not want to be alone
without the presence of his friends when Sara finished taking
him photos she took them back to the cage, she made sure
that they had food and water, and then she began to put all
the animals in the cages he and his friends had more fun that
night and asked the others their names, that night he discovered
why most of them were there some stories sounded sad,
others made him laugh, and others made no sense to ask.
What ped did not know is that while he was asking the history
of the animals that were there in the shelter with him, she was
posting on social networks the new acquisitions that had arrived
at the shelter, immediately a boy named
Austin asked her about Pid, He told him that
his puppy had recently run away from the
house and his parents had not realized it until
he and his brother arrived at the house, his parents
felt super bad for not realizing it, they
looked for him near the house but They did not

find him, they put up posters on the block of his house to see
if they had information about the puppy.
Susan told them that it was too late to go to the shelter but
that she would gladly attend to them in the morning.
Austin was so excited that he woke up his brother to tell
him the news: they had found pad! - From how excited they
were, that they woke up his parents, and they told them that
they would go the next day to look for him, their dad said that
he could not because he had work and her mother said she
would go with them but for that to happen, they have to fall
asleep at that moment.
The next day Susan told Pad that she would receive a surprise
that day,
Austin and his brother arrived excited, and almost cried when
they saw pad, they thanked Susan for taking care of pad, and
offered to pay for the services offered to pad, when pad saw
them he got excited and started wagging his tail and barking
and jumping His humans had come for him, when they were
all going home he started screaming and that's when they realized
that Pad was not alone, he had friends with him, immediately
the 3 fell in love with the other 2 animals and Austin
and his brother They begged their mother to adopt them,
since they saw that Pad was not going to leave without them,
and they did not want to leave without their pet, from so
much begging the mother understood that, she told them that

if they were in charge of the cat and the dog, there were no
problems with her.
They thanked Susan again and she told them to take good
care of them, being in the car the mother told them that
maybe they would have to establish a schedule so that they
would not run away again, the children said it was fine, they
were so excited that suggested to their mom that they go to
the park for a walk and have some sherbet, the mother
laughed and said she agreed.
While in the park, the mother realized that she had to stop
working so much and enjoy her family and pets.
Pad was so excited to be home again, that there the 3 little
animals were happy together, every day they enjoyed their
company, they enjoyed their masters, every day they committed
a madness but they loved how their masters laughed at
their madness.
Pad had never been so happy.
