We are all excited to see our<br />
Active Members, Associate<br />
Members, and life in general,<br />
getting back to normal. I know<br />
the vaccine has been a hot topic<br />
as to whether or not to get it.<br />
The choice obviously is yours,<br />
and we would respectfully ask<br />
all Active and Associate members<br />
to respect the privacy of all. At<br />
upcoming events, we will follow<br />
the CDC and Illinois guidelines<br />
and recommendations to ensure<br />
the health and safety of all, and<br />
we appreciate all considerations<br />
and cooperation from everyone<br />
in attendance.<br />
Vendor Appreciation Day was hosted at Guaranteed Rate Field, where<br />
we continued to get input from our Associate Members as to how we<br />
can better serve them. Hosting general meetings was a topic that was<br />
discussed at the event. If you missed out and would like to sponsor an<br />
event, please contact me at tphillips@chiefengineer.org.<br />
The Golf Committee is preparing for the annual golf outing. Please<br />
contact Alex Boerner, Kevin Kenzinger or Brendan Winters for additional<br />
information regarding our 81st Annual Golf Outing Septe. 10. As usual, it<br />
will be held at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Palos Park. We were able<br />
to hold last year’s event without incident, so we hope that we will see as<br />
many of you as possible out on the links this year.<br />
I want to thank LionHeart’s Mike and Cliff Hunter for presenting at the<br />
recent Generator Ops Seminar/Test. Education is the key to advancement<br />
in our industry, and at the Chief Engineer Association of Chicagoland,<br />
we like to make it a priority, so we appreciate the efforts of those who<br />
support that mission along with us.<br />
On that note, Associate Members, if you’re looking for opportunities to<br />
host Lunch and Learn sessions, please contact me for additional information.<br />
The benefits of educating those who need to know has a tremendous<br />
value along with the one hour of uninterrupted exposure to our<br />
members.<br />
Lastly, I would just like to express a wish that everyone be safe and to<br />
