Aundrey was born in Columbus, Ohio, but spent the majority of his time in London. He attended Brookhaven and London high schools. He graduated from London High School and made all-state in football. He was a diehard 49ers fan. Aundrey loved his kids and was a great father of four. He was a protector to many and big brother to his younger sister, Tiaira. He was always the life of the party, and his smile would brighten any room. To know Aundrey is to love Aundrey, our Silent Giant. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, June and Edward Napper; grandmother, Neva Peterson; cousin, Azalee Lane; and aunt, Karen Peterson. Survivors include: his children, Alavyous “AJ” Napper, Alonzo Napper (Brianna Ackley), Aliyah Napper, and Xavier Napper; granddaughter, Cali Marie Napper; mother, Constance Napper; father, Gregory Hoosier; special sister, Tiaira Napper; siblings, Elizabeth Hawley, Jarrod Hoosier, Jessica Hoosier, and Juleanna Hoosier; many nieces and nephews, including special niece, Uniqua Francis; aunts and uncles, Yvonne Gandy, Wan (Liz) Napper, Edward (Harriet) Napper, Valerie (Richie) Mabra, Cheryl Cooper, Denise (Dwayne) Clark, Donita Hoosier, Gerald (Gina) Hoosier, and Jamelin Wilson; many cousins, including special cousin, Jamel Napper; and his girlfriend, Della Timmons. EADES Carol Ann Eades, 74, of London died on June 14, 2021, in The Ohio State University Hospital. Born on Dec. 4, 1946, in London, she was the daughter of Angus and Ruth (Emmons) Murphy. Carol enjoyed her friends and family, playing euchre, hosting family holiday events, and vacationing in Tennessee and South Carolina. Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Herbert Eades Jr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd D. and Khrista Eades and Eric and Latina Eades; grandchildren, Sean Marie Eades (fiancée Jon McMahan), Tara Nicole Eades, Megan Reisinger (fiancée Allen Liston), and Zack (Amanda) Helman; brother, James (Marge) Murphy; niece, Kris (Roger) Terry; several cousins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane (Jim) Yeary, Kathy (Joe) Ross, Philip (Susan) Eades, and Steve (Pauli) Eades. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ruth Murphy, and her parents-in-law, Betty Jane and Herbert Eades Sr. Per Carol’s wishes, there were no public services. Born on Feb. 14, 1956, in Springfield, he was a son of John M. and Wilma J. (Willis) Blankenship Sr. A truck driver most of his life, John enjoyed fishing, gardening, photography, being outdoors, working with his hands, and was a great storyteller. Survivors include: his children, Ty (Elena) Blankenship, John Mark Blankenship III, Michael (Heidi) Blankenship, and Megan (Tommy) Clemens; grandchildren, Brooke, Tyler, Rachel, Olivia, Macy, Kelsey, Trenton, Coal, Chasity, Tabitha, and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Alena, and Kole; sister, Vera (Tom) Schliep; brother, Donald (Anne) Blankenship; several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Marilyn in 2007; son, Nathan Blankenship; and brother, Ronald Blankenship. Raub, 75, of London died on June 17, 2021, in his residence. Born on June 6, 1946, in Madison County, he was the son of Marion A. and Mildred (Karnes) Raub. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, Bill had started his working career as a lineman for Ohio Bell. He then became a selfemployed electrical contractor, worked for Orient Correctional, and retired as an electrician at Madison Correctional. He was an avid fisherman. Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Connie (Plummer) Raub; daughter and sonin-law, Mindy Sue (Mouhand) Etayam; son, and daughter-in-law, Jason Aaron (Angele) Raub; his eight grandchildren whom he adored, Aurora, Nijmah, Ahmad, Yasean, Dakhel, Sage, Machi, and Tristiana; sisterin-law, Joyce Raub; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack and Robert Raub. Funeral services were held on June 22 in Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, London. Born on Nov. 4, 1988, in London, she was a daughter of Billie J. (Whitelow) and Darrin Sheely. Cierra was employed with Torrid Distribution. She dearly loved her family, especially her nephews, watching movies, playing video games, music, and drawing, but most of all spending time with family and friends. In March, Dr. Laura Gravelin of Columbus Cardiology spoke about the risk factors for heart disease and explained that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. She also noted that in 20 percent of patients with COVID-19, heart function is affected, even if the patient has a mild case or is asympomatic. At the time of her presentation, it was not known if the damage is permanent. Gravelin specializes in electrophysiology, general cardiology, and women’s cardiovascular disease. Phyllis Swartz, author of “Yoder School: A Memoir,” was the featured speaker at the club’s April meeting. She spoke about growing up Amish and knowing in first grade that she wanted to be a teacher. She went on to a career in teaching, retiring from London City Schools. Swartz’s memoirs and other books can be purchased online at amazon.com. In May, Liz Lassel, president of the London Visual Arts Guild, talked about her background and the volunteer work she does in the community. She then told club members about the renovations the guild made to its new facility, the London Art Center at 121 E. First St., and the exhibits and classes the guild offers there. For the April and May meetings, Belinda Vest, club vice president, hosted approximately 10 members at the Coover Clubhouse on North Main Street, London. Through laptops and iPads, members who did not have access to the Internet were able to join the Zoom meetings for the first time. The club followed COVID restrictions and guidelines for these meetings. The Coover Society will begin their new year in October. Dr. Laura Gravelin Phyllis Swartz Liz Lassel ELL John Frederick Ell, 78, of West Jefferson, Ohio, went to Heaven on June 20, 2021 while at home. He retired from the State of Ohio, Bureau of Worker’s Compensation, on Feb. 29, 1996, after 34 years of service. John was a veteran of the United States Army, Intelligence Bureau, serving during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Martina Ell, and his brother, Jim Ell. John is survived by: his beloved wife, Carolyn Ell; his son, Shawn (Shannon) Ell; his daughter, Julie (Keith) Baldwin; and grandchildren, Avery and Reilly Ell and Elena and Alex Baldwin.
