THE VALLEY BUSINESS JOURNAL 6 www.TheValleyBusinessJournal.com July 2021 Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County Welcomes New CEO Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County names Carly Bennett-Valle as their incoming CEO on Wednesday, May 26th. The announcement comes as the organization re-opens its Murrieta Clubhouse for Summer Day Camp program and plans to re-open its Lakeland Village Clubhouse in Lake Elsinore on August 11th for its Back-to-School Program, serving youth, ages 6-17, in Southwest Riverside County. “We are thrilled to have Carly leading the way as we transition into a new chapter, increasing our services to meet the demands of the growing southwest Riverside corridor,” said Kimberly Freize Uhler, Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County’s chairwoman of the board. “Carly has been with the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County since 2015 and has over 17 years of non-profit experience bringing a unique perspective to the organization. Now more than ever, we need to support the youth and families in our communities. As a board, we are confident Carly is the right person to advance our efforts and positively impact the lives of local youth in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, and Temecula,” Freize Uhler said. The Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County expects to serve over 1,089 youth this year at three locations, including Temecula, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore. The organization continues to grow as the need for services increases year over year. Bennett-Valle began working with the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County as a part-time bookkeeper in November 2015, and even though she has always served in a financial role at the organization, she has also worked in various other capacities including development, special events, facilities, operations, transportation, and information technology. “I am so excited for this next chapter with the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County,” said Bennett-Valle. “We have had a tough year, like many companies and individuals, but we are fortunate to have the support of amazing donors and communities that enabled us to succeed and continue serving the families and children who need us. This organization is near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to this opportunity to continue growing and developing it. I can’t wait for all the great things to come, and I am honored to be a part of this extraordinary organization,” Bennett-Valle said. Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County has served the youth in our community for over 30 years. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County is to inspire, enable and support all youth to realize their full potential and successful, responsible, and impactful members of the community.
