Celebrating Funding Success<br />
Aberdeenshire groups that have been<br />
successful in securing funding recently<br />
include:<br />
Huntly Sports Trust is taking on a massive upgrade<br />
project at the town’s all weather pitch. The<br />
playing surface has been in very poor condition<br />
for a number of years but now the volunteer<br />
group which looks after the facility has secured<br />
funding for it to be replaced. Awards of £250,000<br />
from Aberdeenshire Council and £100,000 from<br />
the Vattenfall Clashindarroch Wind Farm Fund<br />

The Grow Free Community Foundation have<br />
secured a Starter Grant of £4,858 from the<br />
ALLIANCE Self Management Fund 20<strong>21</strong>. The<br />
Aberdeenshire Peer Support Resource will<br />
develop and offer information, events and<br />
capacity building opportunities that promote,<br />
celebrate and support the power of peer support.<br />

Waulkmill Menagerie Petting Farm have<br />
been asked by unpaid carers to start a<br />
weekly group for them and their cared for<br />
at the petting farm, where they can meet<br />
