Jules Eames FCI<strong>CM</strong>(Grad)<br />
Resource and Content Manager<br />
JULES is a graduate Fellow of the Institute<br />
and a true credit professional. She began her<br />
credit career at Lloyds Bank Finance over 30<br />
years ago and her credit career covers orderto-cash<br />
credit management in the consumer,<br />
domestic trade and international credit<br />
markets, with specialisms in legal recoveries<br />
and sub-prime underwriting. Jules managed<br />
a large international team at the VF Group<br />
before taking on greater responsibilities<br />
within CI<strong>CM</strong>.<br />
Jules currently works a dual role for<br />
the Institute; quality assuring the marking<br />
process within the Awarding Organisation,<br />
and heading the development and delivery of<br />
content. This includes resources for training,<br />
qualification, assessment and study support<br />
within CI<strong>CM</strong>. A PGCE qualified teacher, she<br />
also tutors in the CI<strong>CM</strong> Virtual Classroom and<br />
is a mentor to other tutors and coaches.<br />
Outside CI<strong>CM</strong>, Jules volunteers with<br />
Therapy Dogs Nationwide, visiting schools<br />
and nursing homes with her therapy dog,<br />
Harry. Her down time is usually spent in her<br />
local woodland with the family or settled in<br />
the armchair of a good real ale pub. Jules also<br />
finds time to do some running and is currently<br />
training for the virtual London marathon.<br />
PROFILES – FINANCE<br />
Deborah Woods ACI<strong>CM</strong><br />
Senior Finance Administrator<br />
DEBORAH started working at the Institute<br />
in 1994, straight from college. She began<br />
as an Admin Assistant in the Training<br />
Department, assisting with In-Company<br />
Training, Conferences and Seminars,<br />
changing to Finance Administrator as her<br />
role evolved to focus mainly on invoicing,<br />
credit control, costings and managing budget<br />
sheets. When the Training Department<br />
merged with the Education Department<br />
Deborah became part of the Learning &<br />
Development Team and continued her role<br />
as Financial Administrator but also began<br />
to manage and help develop the new Virtual<br />
Classrooms!<br />
With an aptitude for numbers and a keen<br />
interest in accounts, Deborah changed roles<br />
and moved to the finance department in<br />
2016, taking with her the financial aspects<br />
of her previous role. Deborah has been an<br />
Associate Member of the Institute since<br />
completing her Level 3 Diploma in Credit<br />
Management in 2013.<br />
Deborah lives in Rutland with her two<br />
teenage children and Jack Russell, she<br />
enjoys cooking, running and socialising<br />
with friends.<br />
Angela Cooper<br />
Accounts Administrator<br />
ORIGINALLY from Lancashire Angela<br />
joined CI<strong>CM</strong> in 2007 as a receptionist,<br />
she was BT trained during her time living<br />
in Hampshire. Having come from a<br />
Building Society and local Government<br />
finance background she moved into the<br />
finance department working mainly<br />
with Membership subscription payments,<br />
which led into a dual role of membership<br />
retention advisor, liaising with members to<br />
advise on the benefits of continuing their<br />
Membership with CI<strong>CM</strong>. Good customer<br />
service and confidentiality had always been<br />
a big priority in her previous customer<br />
facing roles and her experience was<br />
beneficial within her CI<strong>CM</strong> roles.<br />
Her current role within accounts<br />
has evolved to include more accounts<br />
administration, including the collection<br />
and maintaining of direct debit processes,<br />
invoicing and day-to-day tasks within a<br />
small but very busy accounts department.<br />
Outside of work she enjoys spending<br />
time with her family, especially her two<br />
Grandchildren Fred and Luna, walking her<br />
three Lhasa Apso dogs, and travelling.<br />
