Services or products you offer: Almond toffee and
nuts that many say are irresistible and habit-forming.
You can purchase our products locally at Under the
Arbor, Churchill's Hardware, or on our website. We
also participate in Cameron Park’s Old Fashioned
Christmas Craft Faire.
What you enjoy most about your profession:
Sharing my passion for sweets with other people;
being head of quality control and the company’s
primary taste-tester is a nice perk, too!
Fun fact about your company: Our espresso toffee
recently won a bronze medal in the “Top Artisan
Toffee Contest,” which was sponsored by Taste TV
and the International Chocolate Salon. The almond
toffee, however, is still our best seller; I’ve been
making it for family and friends for over 30 years.
First job: Famous Ramos Hot Dogs at Brea Mall.
Favorite food: Chocolate and dark beer (often
together)!
Last big purchase: A $1,700 tempering machine to
improve my products and prevent me from having
to stir chocolate for 20-30 minutes by hand.
When not working, you can be found: Hanging
out with family and friends or my beloved golden
retriever. I also love to travel, exercise, go out to
dinner, and drink good beer (all the more reason to
exercise!).
You love living here, because: The foothills are
beautiful, and the people are friendly. I’ve lived in
Cameron Park for 23 years and love the small-town
feel but proximity to bigger cities, mountains, and
the ocean.
