In the past four years, BCHS students have been awarded • 4 National Merit Semi-Finalists • 1 National African American Program Scholar Finalist • 6 National Hispanic Program Scholar Finalists • 8 National Merit Commended Students Accreditation: BCHS holds dual accreditation with Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC) and Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). THE CAMPUS BCHS is located on a 47-acre campus in the growing west side of Bakersfield. The school has been located on the corner of Stockdale Highway and Allen Road since 2003. The facilities feature highlights such as the Library/Media Center, Sports Center, Performing Arts Building, Student Union, Sand Volleyball complex, football stadium, tennis courts, and a full complement of athletic fields. THE POSITION The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the school whose responsibility is to assure that the mission and vision of BCHS are advanced and to assure a sustainable and vibrant future for the institution. The BCHS President is the sole employee of the self-elected 11-member board of directors and reports to this same board. Currently, the Executive Leadership team supporting the President includes the following: Vice President of Academic Growth, Vice President of Advancement, Vice President of Student Life, Athletic Director, Director of Finance, and Director of Admission.
