The Delta variant casts
a cloud over the
construction industry’s
prospects in 2022. But
without it, Anirban Basu, chief
construction economist for
Marcum, a national accounting
and consulting services
company, warned.
Basu also sees inflation as
a threat. Elevated inflation is
expected to persist until 2022
as global suppliers try to catch
up with the growing demand for
goods and services. As a result,
contractors should carefully
incorporate contingencies
into their contracts to guard
themselves against material
price spikes.
According to the recently
published Marcum Commercial
Construction Index for the
second quarter of 2021, the
building sector has trailed
behind the broader economic
recovery, with residential
development outperforming
nonresidential construction.
According to Richard Branch,
chief economist at Dodge Data
& Analytics, the Delta variant
has the potential to impede
construction starts this year,
saying that this risk cannot be
entirely discounted.
Dodge Data & Analytics said that
construction starts dropped 3%
in July to a seasonally adjusted
annual rate of $854.8 billion.
Each of the three main sectors—
residential, nonresidential
building, and nonbuilding—has
dropped in spending.
Delta Variant Slowing
Down Construction
Recovery
According to a recent
GlobeSt.com story, Dodge
discovered that commercial
planning decreased 3%,
and institutional planning
plummeted 9% in July due to
increased material costs and
skilled labor shortages. Despite
the decrease, the Dodge
Momentum Index remains
around 2018 levels, according
to the firm. Additionally, the
index was 25% higher than
in July 2020, with institutional
planning increasing by 27%
and commercial planning
increasing by 25% year over
year.
The National Association
of Home Builders (NAHB)
projected in July that labor
shortages would become a
growing issue for construction
companies in the coming
months. NAHB Chief
Economist Robert Dietz stated
that the building sector needs
more employees to expand
home supply. He said that
to achieve this, labor force
participation must improve
beyond the present rate of 61.6
percent in both construction
and the entire economy.

National nonresidential construction expenditure
increased by 0.1 percent in July but was down by
4.2% year over year, according to an Associated
Builders and Contractors analysis of data released
Sept. 1 by the United States Census Bureau.
25
C O V E R
S T O R Y
While the statistics indicate that commercial construction
expenditure remained virtually unchanged in July, the
numbers are “much worse than they seem,” according to
ABC Chief Economist Anirban Basu in a news statement.
When inflation is considered, the number of construction
services provided by commercial contractors in the United
States actually decreased in July, he added.
Data show that public construction expenditure has been
more adversely impacted than private spending. While
nonresidential construction expenditure is down 4% year
over year, public construction investment is down almost
5%. Spending decreased year over year in 11 of the 16
nonresidential classifications. At this time of year, the only
industries that have grown are:
• Commercial (3.4%)
• Sewage and waste management (2.1%)
• Manufacturing (1.9%)
• Power (0.9%)
The following sectors experienced the greatest declines:
• Public safety (-38.5%)
• Lodging (-30%)
• Conservation and development (-21.5%)
The decline is due to various factors, Basu said, including
increased material costs and growing skills shortages.
Every construction company in the country is mainly
dealing with workforce issues. This is primarily because
both manufacturers and suppliers of materials, from timber
to drywall, are experiencing labor shortages — even virus
outbreaks among existing employees — as they try to
increase production.
This is leading to a decrease in construction employment.
Construction employment had been improving before Delta
came, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics statistics.
From 725,800 in December 2020 to 749,500 in March 2021,
the construction workforce grew. Throughout the spring
and early summer, it seemed as if we were returning to prepandemic
times, Meloni Raney said, president and CEO of
TEXO, a trade organization representing construction firms
in North and East Texas.
However, the number of construction employees in Texas
alone has been declining consistently since March, falling
to 724,500 in July, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics
statistics. This is connected to the supply shortfall

suffocating projects, as builders balk at increased material prices. However, it is also
related to an insufficient number of unvaccinated construction workers.
Construction firms have a large number of competent, skilled craft workers, but they
are unable to work because they are not vaccinated, and they are becoming ill. They
are also fearful of getting sick and spreading the disease to other unvaccinated
individuals. If they are vaccinated, they don’t want to work because they have small
children who can’t get the vaccine yet.
Numerous materials are also much more expensive. Lumber prices reached historic
highs earlier in the pandemic. Steel mill products, gypsum, and concrete have hit
their highest costs this summer, too.
Additionally, many project owners are deferring work owing to rising expenses. With
COVID-19 wreaking havoc on supply chains, material prices and transportation costs
are expected to stay high well into 2022, resulting in a much slower construction
rebound than would otherwise occur.
This is beginning to exert downward pressure on demand. Homeowners unable to
afford increased material and labor costs have postponed moves and repairs. If this
tendency continues, the state’s economy may become very chaotic, according to
Peter Rodriguez, an economist and dean at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School
of Business.
According to Marcum’s most recent Commercial Construction Index study, published
Sept. 1, contractors should take measures to minimize the risks associated with
increased costs.
Elevated inflation is expected to remain until 2022 as global suppliers struggle to meet
the rising demand for goods and services. As a result, contractors should diligently
include contingencies into their contracts to safeguard themselves against material
price increases. Given the strong demand for construction company services and
the resulting backlog, contractors should have sufficient bargaining power to achieve
this in the majority of cases.
While the Marcum research said that the overall picture for the US construction sector
remained “basically favorable,” it confirmed ABC’s assessment that the delta variant
has clouded the economic outlook for this year and beyond. Basu said that without
the delta strain, one might just predict a thriving economy in 2022.

Choosing the Construction
ERP solution for your
business
Time is of the essence
always, no matter what
type of business you
are running or from
which industry. We lose time,
daily, on things like old-school
interfaces, bad management,
paperwork and bureaucracy,
and the list has no end. Some
of these you can get rid of or
you can work around them,
but still saving time is crucial
nowadays, so you can focus
your full and undivided attention
on tasks that really matter.
Maximizing your time, the way
you spend it is key in improving
the efficiency of your business.
One such way to maximize time
is by managing your bookings.
44
Straightforward Customer Bookings with the
help of a Cloud-based ERP solution
Your team efficiency can expand in many
ways by choosing a construction management
software fitted to your company. Be it if you
are looking for a specific tool for General
Contractors management software or a nextgeneration
ERP that would manage your
company in its entirety, the solution that you
will choose should certainly help you save time
and money.
Having your Schedule of Works up to date
allows you to manage the aspects of your
business in one place. You will know when
a certain employee is working on a specific
project, on a specific task. You will know how
much they cost you and when they will finish the
task. All costs will be automatically deducted
from the budget of the Project. Things may
seem hard to predict, but with your experience
and a good software, things will come as easy
as pie!
Efficient Booking Procedures
General Contractor Management Software
enables you to optimise the way your employees
work - how their tasks are scheduled and their
availability. In this way, you will be able to
optimise the way you assign your resources to
the projects that you have. The best softwares
available on the market help you to keep the
client satisfied by helping your team make the
correct decisions in booking your resources.
By professionally booking your employees,
you will be able to deliver the project on time,
managing this way also your clients’ time. They
will see that you respect them as well as your
employees, by avoiding double booking or
overworking your team.
The software of your choice should not only
help you to handle your employees properly but
also the other assets that you hold - machinery
included. You should be able to book a person
to use a certain machine for a certain task and
make sure that the system will notify you if you
will overbook any of your assets - machine or
human.
Scheduling Module
With the support of a construction ERP solution,
you should be able to create meetings, set up
time off, set up holidays (regular ones but also
maternity/paternity leaves, sick leaves - for
yourself and the team). Creating Project Tasks
for your team and connecting assets to them
will be a few clicks away! You will first search for
the person (the Asset) that should do the task,
assign the appropriate vehicle/machinery/
equipment, add the budget for the task, place
notes (if need be), and… voila! You are ready
to go. The cloud-based ERP system will also
notify you in case of overbooking - making, yet
again, your work (and life) easier.
TimeSheet Tracking and Management
Pulling up reports for a single person or for the
entire team will be as easy as pie! You will be
able, with the help of the new solution, to clockin/out,
track and edit all data related to your
employees. You can make sure the report for
HR/Payroll has the latest data from the system
(and you!) will have one location where all the
info will be stored - not a dozen of Excel files
and hand-made lists. Goodbye, paperwork -
Hello, Future!
To Sum up
Tracking time, booking assets is key in
succeeding with your projects. You need to
know where your resources are at any given
moment. Having them overbooked can be
dangerous for the future of the project and that
of the company. By choosing a construction
software UK based solution that will allow you
to check up on them at any time and place,
you will ease your worries. Make your bookings
as straightforward as possible and by that you
will manage to make your client’s experience
smoother and more pleasant.

The Top 6 Best Metal
Buildings
Metal is one of the most necessary
materials for humans, which is used
in almost all areas of life in its various
forms. So, for example, stainless
steel melted for the first time on August 13, 1913,
in Sheffield is used both for the manufacture
of parts of complex mechanisms and for
decorating facades and interiors of buildings.
We have selected five iconic buildings built on
a metal frame.
The Eiffel Tower
The construction of Gustave Eiffel was made
in 1889 in honor of the centenary of the French
Revolution. Interestingly, the metal buildings
first impressions of the local community from
the unusual tower were extremely negative.
According to the initial project, the Eiffel Tower
was supposed to stand for 20 years, after
which they planned to dismantle it. However,
the popularity of the building exceeded all
expectations: crowds of tourists admired the
creation of an engineering genius and a hot
rolled coil producer, so this wonderful miracle
of architecture delights Parisians and visitors to
this day. The height of the tower is 324 meters
and its construction took place as fast as
possible thanks to the use of metal structures.
Empire State Building
The 103-story office metal buildings skyscraper
is located in New York City on Manhattan Island.
Its height is 381.3 m. This is one of the tallest
skyscrapers in the world. The architecture
belongs to the Art Deco style. The building
weighs 331 thousand tons. It is erected on a
two-story foundation and supported by a steel
structure weighing 54.4 thousand tons. The
skyscraper frame consists of hundreds of steel
sections several meters long and several tons
weighing.
Sydney Opera House
This metal buildings building has gained
popularity due to the unusual shape of the
roof. Implementing such a project became
possible thanks to the use of metal structures.
Looking at the roof of the Sydney Opera
House, you understand that any project, even
the most sophisticated, can be implemented
in practice, and all thanks to the flexibility of
the metal and its strength characteristics. The
construction of the Sydney Opera House took
14 years and $ 102 million, but the result was
beyond all expectations.
48
30 St Mary Ax
It is one of the contradictory symbols of modern
London, noticeably standing out on the city
skyline. The design of the metal buildings
skyscraper consists of a steel frame and a glass
facade with diamond-shaped panels. Designers
made the most effective use of sunlight and
natural ventilation, as a result of which the
building consumes half as much energy as
many similar-sized skyscrapers.
Main Building of Moscow State
University
The height of the 34-story building is more
than 183 m. At the time of construction, it was
the tallest building in Europe. The supporting
system (the foundations and the framework) of
the Main Building of Moscow State University
was developed by the Soviet designer
and scientist Nikolay Nikitin. He proposed
fundamentally new technical solutions: a boxlike
foundation, flexible columns on the ground
floor of the building, cross-shaped metal
columns, and many others. These innovations
made it possible to build a high-rise building
of variable height in difficult ground conditions.
Eurasia Tower
It consists of an underground part and two
interconnected metal buildings ground
structures: a 75-story tower and a two-story
podium. Today it is the tallest building in Europe
with a steel frame – its height is 309 m. The main
advantage of technological solutions based on
the use of a metal frame is a lower loss coefficient
for columns, beams, shafts, and other structural
elements. With the external compactness of the
tower, the rooms inside are spacious and bright.

Top 5 Safest Online
Payment Methods
Nowadays, more and more Filipinos
are making the most of online
payment methods. There are
many reasons behind this, not
the least of which is convenience. Indeed,
with online payment methods, you can
make purchases and pay your bills without
leaving the comfort of your own home.
Online payment methods are not limited
to the “basics” such as online shopping
and settling unpaid balances for your
utilities, either. Depending on the platform
or application, you can also use online
payment methods to transfer money, invest
in the stock market, and build your savings.
You can even use online payment methods
on this page, where you can choose a
secure online casino in the Philippines. With
how things are going, it won’t be long until
you can pay for literally everything online.
The only real issue with online payment methods
are cybersecurity threats. With continuously
improving technologies to detect and prevent
threats together with user vigilance, however,
it’s quite easy to stay safe. For those who are
still a little worried, below is a list of some of the
safest online payment methods you can try.
Third-Party Services
Perhaps the most popular third-party
payment service is PayPal, although there
are also many other platforms available
such as Payoneer, Skrill, PayMaya, G-Cash,
Dragonpay, Alipay, Stripe and Transferwise.
They’re generally safer than using your
credit card directly because you only have
to provide your information to one entity.
56
This is extremely helpful if you often use your
credit card to shop in multiple online stores or
pay different bills. By minimizing the parties
who “know” your information, you also minimize
the risk of being found by hackers. In addition,
should something go wrong, it’s easier to track
your transactions. Payment services also offer
other security features to further improve safety.
Credit Cards
You can also use your credit card directly to
shop online or make payments. Instead of
logging in to your third-party payment account,
you simply input your card details and confirm
the payment. Credit cards have robust security
and anti-fraud features, and there are also
safeguards against fraudulent transactions.
The key to ensuring your safety when paying
online using your credit card is to check the
website’s URL. It should start with https: and NOT
http: only. There should also be a padlock icon
on the address bar. For added protection, you
may also want to use a VPN for browsing and
shopping. Usually, the check-out or payment
pages of websites also have a verification badge.
This assures customers that the website uses
security features to protect sensitive information.
Debit Cards
Using your debit card for online payments is
also possible. The process is similar to paying
with a credit card, although do note that not
all websites have this option. What’s great is
that with a debit card, you can spend only
the amount that’s in the account. If a hacker
acquires your details, for whatever reason,
they can’t do anything too serious if your debit
card has no available balance. For this reason,
it’s best to have a debit card that you will use
exclusively for online shopping and payments.
E-Wallets
Digital wallets or e-wallets are perfect for both
banked and unbanked customers. After creating
your account, all you have to do is top it up
through online banking or partner establishments.
You can then use it for online shopping and
payments, as well as other functions such
as transferring money to banks. This online
payment method is a great way to secure your
credit and/or debit card details since you will
be using your e-wallet account number to pay.
Just like debit cards, you can only spend
the amount that’s currently available in
your e-wallet. This prevents you from
overspending and also protects the rest of
your money that’s not in your e-wallet account.
Online Banking
There are some online merchants and utility
companies that allow online banking transfers
as a payment method. All you have to do is
to input the correct account number into the
banking website or app, along with the amount
you’re going to pay, and you’re all set. Most banks
also have the option to generate a QR code that
corresponds to a bank account. If you want to
avoid mistyping an account number, scanning
a QR code is a simple and effective solution.
For added security, banking websites and
apps ask you to input a 4- or 6-digit OTP or
one-time password that is sent to your mobile
phone. If you don’t input the OTP (or enter the
wrong one), the transaction won’t push through.
There are also so-called payment gateways,
which combine online and offline elements. Once
you complete the transaction through a website,
you will be given a reference number. You will
then use this reference number in convenience
stores, pawnshops, or other payment partners.
Again, it’s not completely online. Nevertheless,
it’s also quite safe because you aren’t linking
any bank accounts through this method.
Banks, financial companies, and payment
services work hard to continuously improve
their security features to keep your accounts
protected. Nevertheless, you still can’t
be 100% safe on the internet. Be extra
careful and install the necessary software
to secure your accounts as best as you can.

A Powerful Tool to Manage
Your Kids on Their Phone
Are you worried about what your
children are up to on their phones?
It isn’t just the threat of predators
that you may be concerned about,
but also the content that they are being
exposed to.
If you want to be able to monitor and manage
your kids’ activity on their phones, you need
the right tools. One option that you could try
is HoverWatch – but you may want to know
more about it first.
About HoverWatch
To put it simply HoverWatch is an application
that can act as a phone watcher and will
let you monitor any devices. In addition to
monitoring phones it will also let you track
Windows or Mac OS X computers.
Although more often than not HoverWatch is
used as a tool for parental control, technically
it can be used in other ways too. For example you
could use it to monitor your employees’ activity and
make sure they aren’t wasting time.
Notable Features
The features in HoverWatch are really quite
comprehensive and will let you monitor practically
any activity taking place on the device. Some of its
more notable features will enable you to:
• Monitor all phone activity including
incoming and outgoing calls, SMS messages,
and conversations on IM apps such as Facebook
Messenger, WhatsApp, and so on.
• Record websites that are visited and save the
browsing history to be viewed later.
• Capture screenshots of the current state of a
user’s screen to see exactly what is going on.
• Take photos when the phone is unlocked to
identify the user that is on the phone.
• Track the location of the device using either
GPS or mobile phone tower triangulation.
60
To be honest there are lots of other features
available too, and if you want to find out more
about them you should visit the HoverWatch
site.
Pros of HoverWatch
Want to know why HoverWatch is such a
popular parental control app? It all boils down
to its numerous advantages:
• No root required to install HoverWatch
on Android devices.
• Runs in the background and is
completely invisible so your kids won’t know it
is there.
• Easy to install and setup and the entire
process will take only a minute or two.
• User-friendly online platform that lets
you track multiple devices at the same time.
In short the app is easy to use, invisible, and
will let you monitor your kids without jumping
through too many hoops.
Cons of HoverWatch
It should be noted that HoverWatch is not
perfect and it does fall short in some areas.
Some of the main drawbacks that you need to
be aware of are:
• Does not track all IM apps and may
have issues monitoring some less popular IM
platforms.
• No iOS version available and so it cannot
track Apple mobile devices.
• May have some stability issues but in
general most are fixed quite quickly.
As you can see most of these issues are
relatively minor, but some may be deal
breakers. It all boils down to how you intend to
use HoverWatch in the first place.
Final Words
All in all if you want to use HoverWatch to
manage your kids’ activities on their phones,
it should do the trick. It can track all their calls
and conversations, as well as let you keep tabs
on where they are at any given time.
While it may have some drawbacks, for the most
part it shouldn’t affect you too much. The fact
that you’re aware of its shortcomings should let
you decide whether or not it is a good option
quite easily.

5 Simple Steps to Get Ready
for Overseas Engineering
Studies
One of the greatest experiences an
engineering student could have is
studying abroad. The opportunity to live
in another country while getting an engineering
degree is in fact the major reason why many
international students decide to take this step.
However, to make the transition go smoothly,
there are a few tasks that every student must
complete before they get on the plane and
fly off to their new home. This mainly refers to
compiling all of the necessary paperwork and
making arrangements so you can settle in
nicely. It is important that you do all these steps
in a timely manner in order to avoid missing
deadlines or other serious troubles along the
way.
Fortunately for you, we have decided to help
you in the process and give you a checklist of
everything you need to get done before your
departure. This list will help you avoid any
unnecessary stress and prepare you thoroughly
for your studies abroad.
Gather all necessary documents
The first and the most important step for a
hiccup-free departure is to gather all necessary
documents. This includes everything from
having a valid passport and visa to compiling
all paperwork that is needed for applying to
your new school or university.
Since you will be an international student,
you should make use of certified translation
services for all your personal documents and
other certificates that your new school may
require. In addition, make sure you stay safe
by obtaining good study abroad insurance that
covers any medical services you may need or
travel emergencies you may encounter.
Research your destination
Another important step you should take to
prepare for your departure is to research your
new destination’s culture and people. This is
why you will have an idea of what to expect
when you move abroad which will definitely
64
make your experience even more rewarding
once you are there.
For example, you have two options on how to
do your research. You can either buy a travel
guide or just Google what your soon-to-be
home offers. Read up on any customs, habits
and traditions and feel like a local in no time.
Figure out your finances
Another important thing you should definitely
consider before you fly out is figuring out your
money situation. As a rule of thumb, you will
probably spend more money than you are
planning which is why it is important to have
extra cash available in case of any emergencies.
There are a few ways you can arrange your
finances before heading off. For example, you
can start by setting up an online account as it
is the easiest way to manage your money while
abroad. This way you will be able to withdraw
cash from ATMs in the local currency whenever
you need to purchase something.
Find accommodation
Next on your checklist is to find accommodation
where you will be staying during your studies.
Depending on your study abroad program, the
school or university you will be attending may
offer you its on-campus housing options. This is
one of the most popular choices for international
students because it is a great way to save up
on traveling expenses.
However, if you don’t like this, you can always
search for your own place outside of the
university campus. You can look for private
apartments on multiple lodging sites and
choose an accommodation that best suits your
needs and preferences.
Prepare to fly out
After completing all of the major tasks, your
next step is to get your plane ticket and pack
your essentials.
For example, when you are booking your flight,
make sure you do it three months before you
actually depart because international flights
tend to be most affordable three to four months
in advance. However, it is a good idea to start
tracking prices early because the longer you
wait to buy, the more expensive your tickets
may be.
As for your essentials, be sure you take a
change of clothes, an adapter and other
important items which you will put in your carryon
bag.
Final thoughts
If you are a student who is looking for new
adventures, then studying abroad is an
excellent way to enrich yourself with rewarding
experiences. This is the perfect opportunity to
visit and live in another country while furthering
your studies to get an international engineering
degree.
And in order to have the best time, it is important
that you prepare well for your trip. Gather all
necessary paperwork for a smooth transition
and make all arrangements in order to settle in
your new home nicely. To stay on track, follow
the checklist from our guide and get ready for
your studying abroad.

How Manufacturers can
Overcome Global Supply Chain
Issues During the Pandemic
During COVID-19, it has become
crucial for manufacturers to be able
to maintain production with limited
supply. Supply chain issues can
disrupt business operations and lead to
substantial financial losses. Manufacturers
who have been able to implement strategies
that allow them to continue operation are in a
great position to come out of this global crisis
successfully.
This article discusses how global supply
chain models may be transformed and how
you may be able to overcome the current
challenges. Every business has its own unique
set of circumstances so some of these ideas
may or may not apply to your manufacturing
company. In any case, we hope you find these
ideas helpful and encouraging.
Inventory Optimisation
Inventory Optimisation is one of the key
ways that manufacturers can minimise their
risks during pandemics. When you are able
to predict demand, it allows you to make
better decisions about how much inventory is
currently available and any additional supplies
you need to place an order for. Certainly, the
scale of COVID-19 caught us all by surprise.
None of us could have foreseen the number
of supply chain issues we would face and
the experience has given us all insight into
vulnerabilities we had yet to consider.
Product Substitution
Supply chains have become increasingly
complex and globalised due to an ever
increasing number of players involved at each
step, from raw material suppliers all the way
through to final product assembly. During a
crisis, it is time manufacturing businesses need
to think creatively in order to survive and even
thrive. Due to the current global supply chain
issues, manufacturers are using alternative or
substitute materials.
68
Local Manufacturing
Manufacturers are now re-evaluating their
manufacturing assets and locations, prioritizing
regionalism over globalism. This is due to the
increased burden on transportation systems
during times of crisis which can leave countries
or regions cut off from essential supplies for
extended periods of time. Regional supply
chains can minimise the risk of disruption from
pandemic, terrorist attacks or natural disaster.
Stress Test Supply Models
When we get through the pandemic and
discover what the new normal looks like, it is
important for manufacturing companies to
stress test their supply models. Supply chains
may be more likely to have more regional
elements, but this can pose a number of
financial issues also. It may be more cost
effective to have materials supplied from a
global supply chain so the temptation will be to
revert to business as it once was. There may be
opportunity to combine local and international
supply models to minimise your international
risk, with capacity to scale up local support if
and when it’s required.
Adapting to Opportunities
The key to any business success is too
overcome challenges and adapt to new
opportunities as they arise. To remain a viable,
profitable company, manufacturers need to
adopt a flexible mindset that allows them to
adapt quickly and move with the times. Supply
chain issues are just one example of how a crisis
can create business opportunities for those that
are nimble enough to make the most of them.
To remain competitive in an ever-changing
market place, businesses have to be able to
react quickly without being weighed down by
unnecessary bureaucracy.
Tips for Segmentation
Whenever there is change, there is
opportunity. Switched on manufacturing
companies may find there are new market
segments that are opening up. Maybe your
competitors are unable to serve a need in the
market due to their own supply chain issues
and you can look to expand in that area.
You can apply segmentation techniques to
look at the market in different ways. Once
these opportunities have been identified it
is important to position yourself as a brand
leader. Australian company, Industrial Ideas
has catalogued a number of resources
to support Manufacturing companies in
developing their sales and marketing efforts.
Conclusion
The pandemic we currently face has shown
many of us in business, that we have some
vulnerabilities in our business models. Our
reliance on global supply chains has become
a huge issue. It has been shown that supply
chains can be easily disrupted by pandemics
and other global issues. These challenges can
lead to financial losses as well as shortages
however, we hope your manufacturing
company finds a way to navigate these
uncertain times and comes out the other side,
stronger and more robust to take on the new
normal.

Medrux Rises to Challenge
of Meeting Global Needs
for PPE, Expands into
Middle Eastern Markets
76
The glove manufacturer delivers an
industry-specific solution for the fields
it serves and continues to expand
to offer its products to new markets
across the globe.
As the need for personal protective equipment
skyrocketed in early 2020 with the onset of
the COVID pandemic, a Malaysian contract
manufacturer rose to the challenge to ensure
that those needing nitrile and latex gloves
could get the products they needed to keep
themselves and others safe. As the demand
for these same products remains steady in
the medical industry for treating patients and
administering COVID vaccinations, Medrux is
focused on ensuring healthcare workers get the
equipment necessary to protect themselves and
their patients.
Medrux is a Malaysian-based contract
manufacturer of high-quality, single-use nitrile
and latex gloves. They supply gloves to GCC
and MENA wholesalers and retailers across
multiple sectors, with a focus on the automotive
aftermarket, food, and medical industries. All
products are backed by a quality assurance
guarantee, thanks to Medrux’s compliance with
ISO13485, CE, ISO EN374, EN455, and SFDA
manufacturing and testing standards.
Medrux offers a range of products within its
product portfolio, including latex, nitrile, PVC,
vinyl, and synthetic gloves. Each glove line is
specifically designed for the industry it is crafted
for, meeting industry guidelines and regulations
for quality manufacturing. Medrux also offers
products at a range of price points, starting
with low-cost, entry-level, and economy medical
gloves through market-leading premium quality
products marked by exceptional comfort,
durability, and performance.
To continue to meet the global needs for PPE,
Medrux has recently expanded into markets in
Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and Jordan.
This new expansion includes a partnership with
a company in Kuwait, with Medrux distributing
over 10 million pairs of gloves for medical use to
help curb the glove shortage in the country.
With its new Middle Eastern expansion, in
keeping with all of its partnerships, Medrux is
committed to helping its partners grow sales and
profit margins. In the first six months of 2021,
Medrux has helped its top 10 partners achieve a
35% growth rate and looks forward to continued
collaboration to boost profits.
“Medrux is proud to play a part in supplying
those on the front lines of the COVID pandemic
with the critical protective equipment needed to
do their jobs while keeping themselves and their
patients safe,” said Dr. Saleh Nabil, Managing
Director. “We are also invested in our partners’
success and work closely with them to increase
sales and profits, so they meet their business
goals. Our clients’ growth rates are proof that
our strategies are working, and we look forward
to helping our Middle Eastern partners achieve
similar results while also expanding to other
regions of the world.”
