The calendar prepared by Yeşil Düşünce Derneği (Green Thought

Association) reminds us again what we must eat depending on the season.

In the post, they said: “October came, the weather is getting colder. With the

colder weather, vegetables, and fruits rich in vitamin C and minerals like

calcium, magnesium, and potassium that our body needs; are starting to grow

ripe and to take their place in our dining table.”

In order to protect nature and natural ones, reach for non-poisonous food, be

healthy, support small local producers, protect our house’s economy and

decrease our carbon footprint, nutrition on its season is the simplest solution.

Also, since vegetables and fruits that didn’t grow in their season are produced

by fighting against nature; not by collaborating with natural conditions, the

usage percentage of hybrid seed, insecticide, and chemical fertilizer is

increasing.
