Sonny’s announces new acquisitions, key organization changes
On June 2, Sonny’s, of Tamarac,
Florida, announced the acquisition of
three California-based companies, including
AutoVac Industrial of San Diego,
FASTECH of Buena Park, and
MC GROUP (McGuinness Vehicle
Wash Systems) of Burbank, as well as
PECO Car Wash Systems, a family-owned
manufacturer of professional
car washing systems based in Auburn
Hills, Michigan.
“AutoVac brings decades of experience
and distinct capabilities in vacuum
technology and manufacturing,”
said Kati Pierce, President of Sonny’s.
“Having this opportunity to welcome
AutoVac to Sonny’s contributes to our
commitment to offer car wash owners
the best solutions in the industry.”
Established in 1989, AutoVac has
grown into a world-class manufacturer.
AutoVac manufactures nearly all
its own components giving the company
the freedom to explore, develop and
produce new technologies at a remarkable
speed. Boeing, Toyota, Honeywell,
Xerox, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Gulfstream,
International Game Technology,
and Penske are just a few of the companies
who rely on AutoVac’s expertise
and commitment to quality.
“Sonny’s continues to grow as a leader,
delivering exceptional customer service
and reliably providing the carwash
industry with the best-of-the-best products,”
Steve Tucker, President of Auto-
Vac, stated in the press release. “Our
team is excited to join this unparalleled
team and we look forward to having
Sonny’s strength behind us to deliver
innovation to carwash owners and operators
nationwide.”
In addition, Sonny’s announced the
acquisition of two distributors, FAS-
TECH’s Carwash Division and MC
GROUP.
“Both Fastech and MC Group are
established, talented teams with deep industry
knowledge. I believe adding these
distributors to the Sonny’s CarWash
Services West team will add significant
value to our California customers,” said
Mike Beuchat, GM of Sonny’s Car-
Wash Services West, in a press release.
The acquisition of PECO Car Wash
Systems was announced back on May
4 in a press release. PECO, with over
50 years of experience, will continue to
base its management and staff at the factory
in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
“Over the years, we’ve been approached
by other companies, but we
never felt it to be the right fit. Like us,
Sonny’s is a second-generation car wash
family with client relationships that date
back for decades.” said JR Rietsch, President
of PECO, stated in the press release.
“By joining Sonny’s we now have
a full offering in house to make our clients
even more successful.”
“I have a great respect for PECO’s
team, product and culture. PECO’s
history in the industry, service-oriented
background and customer focused
approach matches well with Sonny’s,”
Fazio, CEO of Sonny’s, stated in the
press release. "The combination of our
equipment lines offers tremendous benefit
to our global network of thousands
of car wash professionals.”
PECO’s management and staff will
remain in place with the factory in Auburn
Hills, Michigan.
And, in a June 1 press release, Sonny’s
announced an organizational change to
strengthen how it serves clients and to
support the accelerated pace of growth.
