Leadership Excellence Starts with Leading
Yourself [NEW!]
What is stopping or shortchanging the results you want to
deliver? Before you can lead others, you must be able to lead
yourself. If you want to become a more significant, influential,
respectful and intentional leader who can and will get results,
it starts by leading yourself. Self-leadership is the process
of influencing oneself to establish the self-direction and
self-motivation needed to perform. Heather will discuss the
core elements of self-leadership and how it prepares you for
leadership excellence.
Leading Thru Values [NEW!]
What separates great workplaces from average, ordinary
workplaces? The best companies are masterful in their
ability to attract and develop incredible people, dominate
the competition and thrive even during times of rapid and
unexpected change. James Mayhew has spent the last 10
years developing a system to help your business move from
being ordinary to extraordinary. At the heart of that system are
your organizational values. Values represent the best of who
you are, what you stand for and what you don’t stand for, and
communicate to everyone what you can expect every time you
work with us. In this hands-on workshop, you will participate
in an exercise to define the organizational values for a fictional
Iowa-based company. You’ll learn how to make your culture
observable, measurable and teachable and understand why the
best companies have mastered how to lead through values.
Becoming a Culturally Competent Ally:
Part 1 :
This interactive workshop offers practical solutions to working
across differences. Participants will learn how to be a culturally
competent ally for peers, colleagues, and community members
whose culture differs from their own. The training design
operates from the essential position that anyone in a place of
privilege can be an ally. Many of us lack the tools to effectively
engage in the process of ally ship defined as, “ a lifelong process
of building relationships based on trust, consistency, and
accountability with marginalized individuals and groups of
people.” Please join Chatara Mabry as she engages workshop
participants in the systemic process of critical self-reflection,
values orientation, safe space creation, and speaking out against
bias and discrimination. The workshop educates participants
about social justice and actively becoming a bridge for
also provide your teen with critical support and understanding
that will promote better decision-making, better mental health,
and better outcomes at school. Come find out the important
ways in which the teen brain is developing. Identify behaviors
and attitudes that are influenced by these changes. Then
