New Year’s Eve
The turn of the year in Salzburg:
the scintillating fireworks accompanied
by the ringing of the
Cathedral bells at midnight – the
uncontested highlight of New
Year’s Eve in Salzburg. The old
town pops the corks and gives you
one highlight after the other. Stalls
selling delicious Austrian delighs,
live music, and the obligatory
hangover breakfast on Residenzplatz
are all part of the experience!

Mozart week
Welcome to the most spectacular
birthday celebration: during the
days around Mozart’s birthday
the International Mozarteum
Foundation Salzburgs invites you
to come and enjoy the music.
A world-class festival with the
world’s best artists and a similarly
international audience that gets
to enjoy the most brilliant sounds.
Around 50 events, among them
three scenic stage presentations,
one concertante opera performance
as well as orchestra
concerts will all be part of the
programme.

Art on Snow Gastein
At the beginning of February
Gastein is transformed into a
unique cultural hotspot. During
this festival of art guests can
come and admire a variety of
small and large-scale works
made from snow and ice. In the
skiing resorts and centres of the
Gastein area the exhibits will all
revolve around the topic “forest
dwellers”. The artists press, shape,
chisel, and polish their works
from snow and ice to perfection.
