Although the year had a

difficult beginning with the virus

still hanging on and many events

being cancelled, things picked

up and Rajah was in full action

mode by spring. The Tin Lizzies

followed that pattern.

Our pie bakes had a late

start but we were underway by

late Februrary. Illustrious Sir

Sam Ellis

Kraig Leiby attended our first

bake operating the pie press like a pro. Our parade season

began on Memorial Day in Mahanoy City. We gave the

Easton High School Special Needs students a Pizza Party

on June 6. The kids have been labeling our pie boxes now

for going on three years.

Our Annual Clam

Bake took place at

Bady’s Grove on July 10th. MASA was a gas with three Past Potentates driving Tin Lizzie cars

in the parade. We gained three new members from that event also. Welcome Nobles Donald

Heimbecker, Dale Reinert and Dennis Guignet.

Our serious parade season began at Temple in early October with fifteen parades following. A

highlight was our winning the Best Non-Profit Unit in the Easton-Phillipsburg Halloween Parade.

Our Christmas Banquet & Ladies Night will take place on December 11, at the Barn House

Village in Bath, PA.

On a sad note, we lost an original Tin Lizzie recently. Ron Barron had served in all the club

officer positions and was a founding club member. He was one of the most active and dedicated

members, participating in all our events including parades, pie bakes and sales, National Night

Out and Rajah Membership events. He will be missed.

As this is our last article for 2021, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy

New Year.

CARAVANERS

The summer camping season has come to an end, although there are a select few who enjoy winter

camping as well especially the “snow birds” who travel south. The rest of us are tasked with winterizing

our units and putting them in storage until next year.

Caravaners, once again, enjoyed the final campout at the Oasis accompanied by the National Camping

Travelers, Inc. (NCT) campers. The weather not entirely accommodating, but we were able to squeeze out

a campfire and a joint meal with the NCT members. That is always enjoyable.

We held our final meeting for the year and elected our officers for next year. Most of last year’s officers

were re-elected. The exception was our new VP Noble Barry Voigt and newest trustee Noble Carl Willis.

Thank you and best wishes to our Potentate, Ill. Sir Kraig Leiby. And we welcome our new Potentate,

whoever that may be??? We anxiously await the results of the election.

We know it is not the season to be thinking about camping, but it is never too early to plan for a fun filled summer. The

Caravaners are contemplating a tour of New England, with several multi-night stops along the journey. If you do not own your

own rig, you can always rent and join the entourage.

Until next season, be safe, be healthy and be a happy camper. And camp on!
