As part of theagreement, the automaker will provide futurecustomers of its all-new, all-electric MustanginspiredSUV with public fast chargingcapabilities through Electrify America’sgrowing charging network across the country.Customers will be able to manage theircharging plan through features of thecompany’s FordPass app, as well as throughtheir vehicle’s touch screen, that will besupported by a comprehensive data feedfrom Electrify America. The FordPass app willprovide real time location and charger statusdata to Ford EV drivers for Electrify America’snetwork of ultra-fast EV public chargers acrosshighway and metro charging stations plannedin 45 states and the District of Columbia.Ford will be releasing its all-new, Mustanginspiredelectric SUV, that has a targeted EPAestimatedrange of 300 miles with an extendedbattery and rear-wheel drive, in late 2020.* Thevehicle’s 150kW charging ability will allow veryquick charging speeds on Electrify America’s150 to 350kW network.** Ford estimates thatits all-new, all-electric Mustang-inspired SUVwill be capable to charge up to 47 miles in10 minutes using Electrify America DC fastchargers, providing peace of mind forcustomers to be able to charge in minutes,not hours.“Electrify America is proud to provide Fordcustomers with access to our nationwidenetwork of ultra-fast public chargers,” saidGiovanni Palazzo, president and CEO ofElectrify America. “We are committed toadvancing the adoption of electric vehicles,and value forward-thinking collaborationswith automakers like Ford, that share asimilar vision.”44
