MOVING<br />

For the best part of the<br />
past two decades, I<br />
have enjoyed a lifestyle<br />
that is rooted in travel<br />
and discovery. From all<br />
expenses paid business<br />
trips, to spontaneous all-girls<br />
holidays, to surprise romantic<br />
escapades and off-road<br />
explorations, where the<br />
anticipation of hopping off<br />
to new unknown destinations<br />
and experiencing the thrill<br />
of an adventure unfolding,<br />
glitches and all, was<br />
always something I found<br />
enthralling. In fact, the<br />
mere thought of choosing<br />
a stylish capsule wardrobe<br />
and arranging the logistics is<br />
giving me butterflies all over<br />
again!<br />
So, let me fast forward to<br />
the present, and contrast all<br />
that with where I am today.<br />
Grounded!<br />
In one place, one<br />
city, Lagos, one<br />
accommodation, with a<br />
blank schedule, zero plans<br />
for any upcoming escape<br />
from the remoteness of WFH,<br />
and not even<br />
the faintest<br />
of hope of a<br />
surprise guest<br />
or visitors.<br />
The past 12<br />
months have<br />
been a ‘trip’ of a<br />
different dimension.<br />
So how have I “survived”<br />
lockdown in Lagos?!<br />
Well, without sounding too<br />
cheesy, I feel immensely<br />
grateful to be living in a<br />
property, that boasts one of<br />
