My parentswere both born overseas,they moved to Australiaas a land of hope and opportunity.“They worked hard, sentme to school and university.This is the story of Bennelong.That came withit, that second passport,which I’ve now thankfullyextinguished, enabling(me) to announce here today.That’s why I’ve left ita little bit late.”Clr Laxale’s mother,Roselyne, was born inReunion Island, a Frenchstate.
