The Weekly Times | TWT | 30 March 2022

The Weekly Times - TWT - cheekily describes itself as a campaigning, crusading, truth-seeking, death defying, Aussie battler-aligned, one-eyed-Tiger-led news organisation dedicated to Sydney's north west. It's one of the few remaining independently run community newspapers and turned 100 years old on September 1, 2021 - so if you want to show your support for independent media, have a quick look at the paper, submit a letter to the editor via its website or like or share one of its posts on social media. The flip book - or digital edition/replica - of the 30th March 2022 edition of TWT can be reached here: https://weeklytimes.com.au/the-weekly-times-twt-30th-march-2022/ And the most current edition of TWT is always reachable using this short address: bit.ly/OurTWT

City of Ryde Mayor Clr Jordan Lane and Deputy Mayor Clr Roy Maggio with

representatives from the Eastwood community at the new Rowe Street East car park.

ROWE STREET EAST

CAR PARK OPENS

The new Rowe Street East Car Park

has opened to the public, which will

help address parking demand in

Eastwood and provide a much-needed

boost for the local economy.

The new multi-level short stay car park

provides 146 spaces with entry and

exit points via Rowe Street, and an

exit via Rowe Lane.

The car park also features a range

of modern and accessible features

including EV charging stations,

a passenger lift, number plate

recognition car park management

system and accessible car spaces.

Motorists can enjoy two hours of

free parking with incremental rate

increases after that point during the

day, while a flat rate of $5 for more

than two hours parking applies for

vehicles that enter the carpark

after 6.00pm.

This new car park is part of Council’s

commitment to providing more support

to our local businesses and town

centres, and I would like to thank the

Eastwood community for its support

of this project.
