Event NEWS is back and it’s looking brilliant Despite the challenges the last two Covid-affected years have presented for all events, NZ Hair & Beauty has returned for 2022, with a Consumer Show, Trade Expo and Industry Summit. While many used multiple lockdowns as an opportunity to declutter and perfect the art of baking sourdough, the team at NZ Hair & Beauty used the time to review philosophies, goals and dream big, resulting in the expo making its return in 2022 with more enthusiasm, motivation and inspiration than ever before. An opportunity for the people to come together, share knowledge, learn and connect – recent circumstances have been a timely reminder that that beauty, Key Dates 2022 NZ Hair & Beauty Expo: June 18-19 The Industry Summit: June 18-19 The Consumer Show: August 20-21 hair and male grooming professionals are part of the backbone of the nation (including nurses, teachers and supermarket workers). NZ Hair & Beauty has an exciting line up - launching The Consumer Show for the first time, while the Industry Summit and Trade Expo will both return. The Consumer Show (August 20-21) is calling out to all retailers to use the show as a platform to increase services and sales while showcasing their business. Auckland’s only hair and beauty consumer show will be open to the public and will be promoting products and services in the hair, beauty and male grooming industry – definitely a date for the diary! The response to the male grooming presence at the Trade Expo was so positive last year that it will continue to grow in size and scale at this year’s Expo (June 18-19). The Industry Summit (June 18-19) will include important topics such as Mental Health & Wellbeing, Caring for Our People, Five Ways to Improve Your Business, Funding Opportunities, Business Continuity Planning, How to Improve Your Website and Social Media platforms and How to Get Ahead of Competitors in the Social Media Race. Show director Shaughan Woodcock says that during the 2021 Expo in 2021, 89% of those who attended were owners or managers. “We saw huge interest from new sectors such as barbers, natural therapists and aromatherapists who are all experiencing growth following a global uplift in people seeking wellness therapies in their quest for better wellbeing. “For the platform to work effectively, we rely on the support from as many people within the industry as possible,” he says. “There is a power in coming together, sharing knowledge, learnings, insights and comradery at the best of times and especially during tough times.
