MUSIC Elder Hall Concert - October 17th This concert was scheduled for September, but it has been necessary to change the date to Monday evening, October 17th. This is the first day of Term 4, a student free day for years 1 - 11. This means that some students will be required to come to school at various times during the day for rehearsals, leading up the concert in the evening. There will be sound checks at Elder Hall for Senior school students from 4.15pm onwards, and Junior school students from 5.30pm. The concert will commence at 7pm. Catholic Schools Music Festival – September 26th Congratulations to the Stage Band and Senior Vocal Ensemble who have been selected to perform in the Festival Theatre on Monday evening, September 26th. The soundchecks are at 4pm on the Monday afternoon, with the performances commencing at 7.30pm. SACE Music – Final Assessment – October 25th We have been notified by the SACE Board that the final assessments for Solo Performance, Performance Special Study and Ensemble Performance will be on Tuesday, October 25th, starting at 9am. This is during week 2 of Term 4. This means that members of Stage Band, Concert Band, Senior Vocal Ensemble and Chamber Players will be required to perform at school on that Tuesday between 12noon and 2pm. For Year 12’s, this is the week prior to exams, so they will need to come into school during that day to perform in the ensembles. Congratulations to Josh Belperio who had one of his orchestral compositions chosen for a workshop performance with the Adelaide Youth Sinfonia last weekend.
