Matthew Traeger representing Australia at
The Hague International Model United Nations Competition
Year Twelve student Matthew Traeger (12.7) has been the only South Australian
selected to represent Australia at The Hague International Model United Nations
Competition, to be held in January 2012, in The Hague, The Netherlands. He is
currently looking for financial sponsorship to cover travel and conference costs
for this brilliant opportunity, which will find students from around the world
gathered together for one week to debate international issues and prepare
reports to be presented to Mr Ban Ki Moon, the United Nations Secretary
General. Matthew was selected for this opportunity following his achievements
at the United Nations Youth Association’s National Youth Conference, which was
this year held in Adelaide in July. If you believe your business or organisation
would be willing to contribute financially to Matthew’s endeavors, or to find
out more, please contact him at samedia@unyouth.org.au or by phone on 0408
582 864. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and Matthew would be
more than willing to provide recognition of your sponsorship by giving a talk or
presenting a report about the experience upon his return. Thank you!
