Drainage issues discussed in Pleasant Township

Strategies are being formed to help
address major drainage problems in
Pleasant Township. The issue was discussed
at a recent board meeting.
Pleasant Township Road
Superintendent Robert Bausch said he
would continue to review an ongoing concern
on Seaman Road. This area has experienced
high standing water with drains
which are not able to handle the capacity of
water when it rains heavily.
According to Bausch, when he went to
look at the area, he said, “The tile was ran
probably an extra 12 to14 foot beyond
where the water was running so the tile
was floating up a little bit.”
This has now been addressed by the
road department and they are hopeful that
it will help resolve the severe flooding in
the area.
The road department is also looking into
ways to repair a large ditch on Old
Harrisburg Pike. The ditch runs to the
north side of the road. Water comes from
State Route 62 almost to Pleasant Corners
and trees have grown on the backside of
the ditch, causing deterioration of the
bank.
According to Bausch, it is not feasible to
repair the whole bank at one time but they
will try to address portions of it at a time.

With the May primary approaching,
Franklin County Auditor Michael
Stinziano is reminding voters that the
updated Levy Estimator is available to
help residents understand how levies and
bond issues on the ballot will affect their
property taxes.
Levies and bond issues are on the ballot
in several jurisdictions across the county,
including: Upper Arlington, Grandview
Heights, Whitehall, Jefferson Township,
Franklin Township and Mifflin Township.
To use the Levy Estimator, visit
franklincountyauditor.com/levyestimator.
After selecting your home’s location or
entering a parcel number, the estimator
will show both your current and estimated
taxes if a levy or bond issue in your jurisdiction
passes in the May primary.
“Elections decide important local issues,
and I encourage every qualified voter to get
out and vote and make sure your voice is
heard,” Stinziano said.
Early and absentee voting began April 5
and will run through May 2. As a reminder,
mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked
by May 2, or dropped off at the
Board of Elections office at 1700 Morse
Road by 7:30 p.m. on May 3, primary election
day.
Election day is May 3, and polls across
the county will be open from 6:30 a.m. until
7:30 p.m. For more information about voting

and monies over the course of several months.
The bicycles are of various types and models, as are
the tools and electronic equipment. All properties are
held in a secured police facility at all times. If you
believe you have claim to any of the property and have
proof of ownership for the property, you may call the
Grove City Police Department Property Room at
614-277-1757. A review and release of any and all
property is by appointment only. All items not claimed
will be sold at public auction, turned over to the Law
Enforcement Fund, or destroyed according to Ohio
Law.
CHARITABLE DONATION
Qualified organizations may be eligible to receive
bicycles as charitable donations from the City of
Grove City. Qualified organizations must have a valid
ruling or determination letter recognizing the taxexempt
status of the organization, pursuant to Internal
Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or (c)(19).

inquire about the donation process.
