Since the Ark Encounter’s opening, it has been the destination for

many adventurers. Experience the life-sized replica according to the

Biblical description of Noah’s Ark. Learn how Noah and his family

lived, and learn the impact of the Ark and God’s promises in today’s

world. Travel south to Harrodsburg and learn about the life of the

Shaker community. See the farm, village, and Historic Centre. Learn all

about the Shakers’ daily lives, work, values, and worship.

STEPHEN FOSTER OUTDOOR MUSICAL/OLD BARDSTOWN

VILLAGE & CIVIL WAR MUSEUM (B, L)

Between the village and five museums, Old Bardstown Village &

Civil War Museum explain the history of this area and the impact of

the Civil War. Visit “My Old Kentucky Home” mansion in Bardstown

for a tour of the home that inspired the song by Stephen Foster. Enjoy

tonight’s outdoor musical drama of Stephen Foster, America’s first

great composer, at “My Old Kentucky Home.” Celebrate Kentucky

with song, dance, drama, and beautiful costumes! Stephen Collins

Foster - composer of favorite songs Oh! Susanna, Beautiful Dreamer

and My Old Kentucky Home - is the father of American music.

This Broadway-style production portrays his journey to turn his

relationships and experiences into songs at a time in our country’s

history just before the Civil War and the anti-slavery movement.
